Cao! I just want to take a moment and tell you just how awesome your blog is! It looks great! And is full of great posts! I would love your help in improving the look of mine. Wish I knew enough about code and stuff to post videos, and make animated gif banners. Your hard work in this place shows! Keep up the good work! And if you ever have the time, I’d love some help with mine!

  2. Jay Says:

By the way, what is this welcome back richard nixon stuff about? Is that a stupid question?

  3. Cao Says:

Richard Nixon is at Dead Republican Presidents and is a blogger at the Wide Awakes. He is in the military and was doing his 2-week stint. He came back on the 25th.

I have no idea why you want to change the look of your blog, Jay. It looks great to me. And btw, I didn’t do all this myself, I had help from Lisa at Elegant Webscapes. She designed my blog. I just jazz it up now and then with music or videos or something. You can also visit Lisa’s blog, at Just a Girl in the World

I’m glad RN is back also….and Cao? I don’t suppose the girl holding teh sign is you is it?:D

  6. Cao Says:

    No, I’m a blonde-ish redhead.

My name, (”Caoilfhionn”) incidentally, is Irish Gaelic and means tall and slender Blonde. It’s pronounced KWEE-LIN. People are confused by the spelling, so they dubbed me “cao” which certainly is much simpler, don’t you think?

  7. Kender Says:

I didn’t know if you wanted anyone to know the correct pronounciation of your name.

Suffice it to say I know Gaelic pronounciation well, as me “da” was known as Ahunghus Mor MacGowan and I am Connell Dhu…..

  8. Cao Says:

Your name sounds more Scots gaelic to me, but I’ll bite. There are actually a couple of different ways to pronounce “caoilfhionn”. But go ahead, what is your preferred pronunciation?

The other pronunciations I’m aware of are KAY-lin and KEE-lin.

You might have been pulling my leg there, if you were, I get it. If you weren’t, I didn’t.

  9. Kender Says:

It is Scots-Gaelic…Dhu=Dark…so named because I had the only black tam AND my sense of humor and capacity for the evilest, funniest and harmless of pranks…and I prefer Key-Lin…although Caylin or Kaylin are good….in my head you are simply “Key”….fitting sinceyou open up so many windows for me.

I’m glad he’s back too…we can never have too many dead republican presidents.

  11. Van Helsing Says:

Just a suggestion, you might link the image to Dead Republican Presidents.

  12. Cao Says:

hey, good idea! Now it’s linked. Go ahead and click but–I don’t think much has been done over there since he left. He’s still catching up on things.

    Superhawk, that’s too weird.

  13. Cao Says:

Kender, a couple of comments came in at the same time and I just saw the incredible compliment you paid me. Thank you so much. And you have been an incredible inspiration to me, as well.

  14. Jay Says:

You couldn’t send me some an html code that I could copy and paste to play wmvs could you?

  15. Kender Says:

Oh I wasn’t pulling your leg. Charley, who I’ve posted about, was like a dad and best friend at the same time. His given name was Smith, which traces back to the scottish Gow, which means Smith, as in black smith. He started the Clann we have on tren faire circuit here in SoCal, and he was Ahungus Mor MacGowan, Chieftain of the Clann, I was his “second” basically the Lt. in the group, taking the name connell macgowan, and he tossed in the “Dhu”, for reasons stated earlier. More to come…possibly.

  16. Cao Says:

Jay, the code is on the way to you.

That’s so interesting, Kender! I was on a Scots gaelic kick for a while and learned all kinds of weird phrases. Don’t know how to pronounce them, but the Scots sure have the insult game down to a science–it’s funnier than hell.

Kewl! Your TB is functioning again!

  19. Cao Says:

Yep, now if only I could figure out how to get my own comments through without approving them I’ll be right as rain.
