The upstairs tenant of the Armanious family was discovered to be druggy partner of another man. They have been found to have withdrawn $3,000 from Armanious’ ATM account after the slayings. Police are saying the family was killed because the 8 year old managed to untie herself and recognized the tenant. No religious association involved in the murders at all.

Whilst I’m not condoning this email, are you really judging an entire religion and the people that follow it, on this kind of thing?
What about all the murders carried out by Catholics?
My point is that the religion has little to do with it - these extreme fundamentalists would be the same if they were all.. I dunno.. Mormons. It’s the people not the religion that are the problem, and it’s a small number of them as well.

Murders carried out by Catholics? That’s good. I’m not a criminologist, but aren’t the guilty ones usually the first to point elsewhere instead of looking inward? Now, if you had referenced pedophilia carried out by Catholics you’d have a case to impune an entire religion, but even that wouldn’t hold water as most people know that it’s unfair to hold the entire Catholic population hostage (so to speak) for the acts of a few lunatics, which brings us back to the death threat of this islamic extremist. We know that the entire religion is not to blame, however, more than a “few” people in the islamic faith think the way this lunatic does. And when a few turns into “some,” or “many,” then you have to question the peacefulness of this religion.
Cao, please call someone about this threat. As with all threats, the ones that go unreported usually lead to bigger and badder things.

You honestly can’t see what the hell is going on, can you? No, not everyone is living in the real world, obviously –not everyone can read the “writing on the wall”…but don’t condemn me for recognizing what Islam teaches. Hello, earth to idiot–Islam teaches to kill the infidel. Those are the people who are not Islamists…that includes everyone outside of their faith. Buddhists, Christians, Jews, you name it. Granted, most muslims don’t join the mujahadeen, but they don’t object to the crimes when they’re committed, either. So that silence, in a sense, is agreement. When the woman in Chicago was doused with gasoline and set on fire and died in her car at the hands of her husband and the community came together to mourn her, nobody was there from the Muslim community. Doesn’t that say something?
There are many out there like me who aren’t afraid to speak the truth, even in the face of death threats. I wonder if you’d feel the same way if someone nut like this threatened your life? They don’t care if you’re on their side or not, you know. If you’re an infidel, they have the right to kill you according to the Qu’ran and sharia law.
Take it up with the Wahhabis who are killing the Shiites and the Sunnnis because they’ve declared that if the Shiites and Sunnis don’t believe as they do, they’re not muslims anymore.

“Really?”? I have a question for you. While it is true that it is a small number (supposedly) of muslims that have radicalized and are following the worng road, do you knwo how many muslims there are in the world?
About 1.3 BILLION……let us say that 1%, (I read somewhere that 1% is about the best guess for the number of radicalized islamic thugs out there), is radicalized and committed to the spread of there version of islam across the globe.
That is 13 million people that want us dead.

It’s easy to attack the religion instead of the person, but it’s a dodge. If Islam is some terribly violent religion, then why do the vast, vast majority of its practitioners behave just like the practioners of every other religion? Wahabism and related sects are mutant strains of Islam, just as caulerpa taxifolia, the kudzoo of the sea, is a mutant strain of algae. They’re not the norm. Are you going to go after Buddhism next because of Aum Shin Rikyo? If you want to take care of the problem, go after religion itself.

It isn’t the religion…it IS the radicals, and until recently there were no moderates, (read: majority) muslims decrying this hijacking if their religion.
Without the moderate muslims outcry one could only conclude that regardless of what may be said about islam being a religion of peace its practitioners were not against the radicals.
Now that there is a group of moderate muslims speaking out against the radicals perhaps things will change.
Until their message gets more coverage though Islam will NOT be considered a religion of peace, but one of tyranny, oppression and intolerance.

This is why we’re seeing an upsurge in crimes with the Islamic stamp on them.

What’s interesting here is that we only have Cao’s word for it that she even received this alleged email. Given how she’s responded to critics with over the top ad hominem attacks in this very thread… I’m inclined to believe that she’s fabricated this entire thing.
If Cao honestly opposed hateful religious-based rhetoric, why does she side-step the issue of Pat Robertson? Occam’s Razor would seem to indicate that she’s just using this as an excuse to vent her own hatred.

Kevin, if you had even one working brain cell you would realize what an *** you are by making that statement. God help you if you ever have the Islamofascists knock on your door. Your response speaks to the greatest myth put forth by the MSM, that Islam is a peaceful religion. Wake up; all religions have a bloody past so forget using that as one of your arguments. The difference between Islam and the rest of the world’s religions is that Islam refuses to even condemn its violent sects as they continue to murder and maim in the name of Mohammad.
Look at any conflict around the world and you will find Muslims as one of the causes for said conflict. The fact is that we need to recognize the face of our true enemy and demand that the Muslims who are non-violent condemn the radicals, otherwise the spread of violence is all but assured. As for you assertion that Cao is making up the email, you are completely wrong and IMHO we should ship you over to Iraq so you can talk to the “peaceful” Muslims who are killing other Muslims. Also, those factions go directly against the beliefs of our parties/religions. Can you say the same of Islam?

They had been burned to death. This is the image Islam presents to Americans.
What we Americans are constantly told is that Islam is only peace and love. Tell that to the 1300 Iraqi policemen executed over a two month span. Tell that to Margaret Hassoon who had spent her adult life helping the people of Iraq . Tell that to the Afghani men who were beaten because their beards were too short, or those executed because they were caught listening to music. Tell that to the families of those burned to death in a bread oven. Tell that to the child beaten for flying a kite. Tell that to the children who had their hands cut off for selling the Americans cans of pop.
