Brother Against Brother
The first installment of the seven-part series on Euphoric Reality starts today.
Gary Linderer is the author of many books; including Eyes of the Eagle, Eyes Behind the Lines, and Six Silent Men: Book 3, as well as Phantom Warriors; a two-book series on the “LRP” units and their actions in Vietnam. Kenn Miller is a fellow author from the same unit – F Company, 58th Infantry; part of the famous Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne Division.
In the last 8 years, these authors and other from their unit have come under attack by a fellow veteran who claims that their books are false; written to defraud the public and exaggerate their role in the Vietnam War.
Don Hall, a veteran of another LRP unit stationed many miles away, has dedicated the last 8 years to what he says is uncovering the truth about what Linderer and his unit did in Vietnam. Hall claims Linderer’s unit engaged in war crimes, exaggerated the ensuing enemy contact, and engaged in a coverup that reached all the way to company level. Hall believes that the men of F/58 LRP are now making money off a distorted and false version of events, with the full support of organizations like the Special Forces Association and the 75th Ranger Regiment Association.
We’ve dug into this story deeply and over the next week we’ll be bringing you the truth about what happened on a hill in the Ruong Ruong Valley on November 20th, 1968. We’ll have expert opinions, interviews, and much more.
Are these men criminals? Or is this something deeper and much more sinister? We have the truth – and you won’t believe what we found.

I was a combat photographer with the 101st from ‘67 to ‘69. I was on the mission with Contrera’s team the day before the Nov 20 event. I was at the hospital with Gen Zais when he presented the medals to the living of team 24. I have the pictures, Including Gary Linderer. I don’t know who these people are, but what they are doing is scandalous. The story is real. The men are real. This is ********.

That oh-so-telling list of awards…Don’s is noticeably dinky - especially for so many years in service, 1 year in combat, and he was an E6, to boot! Very strange… There’s something more to that sorry record…
Anyways…Don’s agenda looks so very obvious from that angle, doesn’t it? LOL
