Friday open trackback party
TGIF!
Thank God I’m FREE!

C’mon and trackback! Put up a post that you think deserves some special attention from this past week.
Watch for Open Trackbacks here on Fridays, Sundays and Wednesdays.
Here is the trackback link to this post:
http://caosblog.com/2299/trackback/
To trackback to any post just use the post slug or “permalink” and add trackback/ to the end of it.
One other thing.
I will be deleting trackbacks when the posts don’t show that you’ve linked here. Make sure you do as I did, below–either saying thanks to Cao’s blog and linking to this post, or mention that I have a trackback party, and link to this post. Otherwise the trackback will be deleted.
If you are unable to send trackbacks, then use the Wizbang Standalone Trackback Pinger.

The Left’s Scandal Obsession
The WaPo headline today screams: “Scandals Take Toll On Bush’s 2nd Term.”
Um. What scandal would that be? I mean if you are going to use a noun, much less in the plural, should there not be something that fits the word’s description?

A Pox On All Their Houses!
I have been a conservative for the most part of my 59 years on this earth. I would like to think also that I am a person of principle and that I vote for the man rather than the party. In fact, I usually shock both my Republican and Democrat friends wh…

Here is a little update. I should like to point out that when Diane Feinstein thinks you’re being petty it might be time to do a little soul searching. Oh… you’d have to have a soul to do that.

Oooo, a chance to bash the Anti Constitutional Lawyers Union? I can get into that!
David - my blog-brother from Third World County - noticed Kit Jarrell of Euphoric Reality’s Stop the ACLU post from yesterday, and very much liked her idea:

TheRightPlace — screw that stupid Jesse Jackass -

Washing Machines are WHITE on the outside … Agitators are BLACK on the inside.
Maybe someone needs to tell that idiot what the difference is … it’s just a damn cartoon/comedy where the players happen to be purple.

[…] Open letter to our military and their families. It mystifies the mind that you would put your life on the line for my family and me. People you will never even know. I will never have the courage to send the one I love off to fight, knowing they might not make it home. It is such a humbling experience to know that you would do such a thing. You are the great heroes of our nation, the reason we are a free country. Yes, I think that firefighters and police are heroes. But they get to meet the people they serve and protect. You on the other hand will never get to meet the ones who are so grateful for your service. And to hear most of the media say it, there are none. But there are so many, so many people who just want to run up hug you and say thank you. There are so many of us, but you hardly get to hear that. It boggles the mind, as to why with so little pay, so little benefits, and so little respect. Why you would choose to be so gracious. Why you would put your life on the line. I suppose in a way you do get to know some of the people you serve. The little girl next door, the little old lady down the street. Maybe each of you keeps that picture in your mind and that is how you can deal with the fear. Please don’t get to discouraged when you don’t see a lot more yellow ribbons than you do. Most of the stores are sold out. But we wear them in our heart, we mourn our lost and our dead along with you. You are not alone. You have made our country proud, and I think it is high time someone told you. We love you and hope everyone comes home safely. And one last very important thing, THANK YOU!
