Kerry’s 180

A Media Player is required.

I don’t know how long ago I started this, but we’ve literally been calling for Kerry to sign his 180, to release his records, for MONTHS. Kerry is a Senator, for crying out loud–a Senator who is calling into question the honesty and integrity of other such as Tom DeLay, Frist, the Swiftboats Veterans, the men who produced Stolen Honor, Club for Growth and others who oppose the leftist mindset and policies, who are under investigation. Why isn’t Kerry under investigation for the crimes he has committed?

Dear Friend:

Last year, when John Kerry was running for the Presidency, I wrote and produced the documentary, Stolen Honor: Wounds that Never Heal.

I am proud to say I was one of many Vietnam combat veterans who stood up to expose Kerry’s betrayal of all those who served in Vietnam — particularly our POWs still being held by the Communists in 1971. That’s when Kerry testified before the U.S. Senate that American troops were murdering hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese civilians, and that such atrocities were authorized and approved by the entire U.S. military chain of command.

The election is long past, but Kerry’s assault on Vietnam combat veterans rages on. I am being sued for millions of dollars by some of his closest friends, and I desperately need your help.

Stolen Honor was the story that America didn’t know and that the media wouldn’t tell you, the story Sen. Kerry didn’t want you to hear. In fact, he was so alarmed by Stolen Honor that he sent out squads of lawyers to intimidate any TV network that might consider airing the documentary. Kerry’s own campaign manager even went on national TV to openly threaten Sinclair Broadcasting with having its license revoked if they showed Stolen Honor.

Despite these efforts to shut it down, Stolen Honor was still seen by millions of Americans who bought the documentary or viewed it on my website. You are one of those Americans who saw the film, and that’s why I’m appealing to you now.

I will not be silenced or intimidated by Kerry’s lawyers.
Nor will the POWs and other Vietnam combat veterans. (If you didn’t see the film you can purchase it here.)

But I urgently need your help if I am to succeed in fighting this lawsuit.

Defending against these lawsuits will be costly, far beyond my means. But I need to defend myself as aggressively as possible. My honor is at stake — and the honor of every American who fought in Vietnam.

I’m not alone in this important mission. A number of POWs, Vietnam veterans and other patriots involved in Stolen Honor have set up a non-profit organization — The Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation — dedicated to debunking Vietnam myths and setting the record straight concerning the true history of the Vietnam War and those who fought there. As part of their mission, the VVLF is also assisting in my legal defense.

I served in Vietnam, a Marine grunt, an infantryman, wounded three times and I never asked to come home, even when my battalion was decimated, forced to “stand down” because of casualties. Those who were able fought on and we’re still fighting today. But, this time the “enemy” wants to take something even more precious than our lives. It wants to strip us of our history, our sacrifice, our dignity and our honor.

While Kerry’s lawyers try to cow the people who were defending themselves and their nation into submission and silence, Kerry himself refuses to come clean with the American people on a simple promise he made on national television–he said he would release his military records. There are 100 pages missing. The contrast is amazing and disgusting.

Months and months after Kerry’s loss to George W. Bush, it’s somewhat gratuitous to point out how hard it can be to get a clear, straight answer from Kerry on this or any other issue. As long as the Senator believes he has a shot at another presidential run, the candor gap remains on the table, because he puts it there.

On one hand, he seems to have concluded that Democrats have a ”branding” problem, much like a company selling razor blades. The Democratic Party, said Kerry, needs ”a new brand. That’s the challenge.” For 25 years, he said, Democrats did not fight negative branding by their opponents. As a result, he said, Democrats are now labelled as ”tax, spend, weak, things like that.”

Later, Kerry said, ”Let me be crystal clear. We do not have to reformulate or redefine the Democratic Party. I’m tired of hearing that the Democratic Party doesn’t stand for anything.” The party, he said, stands for healthcare for every single American; public education that works and gets the necessary resources, with strict accountability; foreign policy that demonstrates both strength and respect for multinationalism; a tax structure that is fair; protecting the environment, and energy independence.

Interesting, Monsieur Kerry. So which is it? Brand or re-brand? That is the question. I suppose it depends on what day of the week it is, what kind of mood you’re in, or who the audience is–what your response is. This kind of wishy-washy namby pamby response is precisely the reason why we keep hammering on the same point:

You promised the American people on Russert’s Show Meet the Press, that you’d release your military records. Release them to the American people the way Bush did, Mr. Kerry. If you need to call someone in the Bush administration to find out how it’s done, drop them a line. I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to assist. Or you can release them to me. I’d be happy to share that information with the American people: unedited and unadorned, with no apologies or coverups of–for example-the truth behind the 6-year delay between your exit from the military and your “Honorary Discharge”.

Kerry made a juvenile attempt at getting the heat off of himself and trying to turn the tables on John O’Neill by demanding that HE fill out his form 180. But John has nothing to hide and is perfectly prepared to do so.

Kerry’s Senate offices could not provide a copy of the Kerry SF 180 and would not answer inquiries. Is it possible that Kerry filled it out wrong or sent it to the wrong place?

John O’Neill made Kerry an offer:

“I’ll be happy to bring one to Kerry’s office and help him fill it out. And then we can take mine and his and deliver them to the right place together to make sure, as Kerry puts it, ‘the truth in its entirety will come out.’ “

There are just a few questions we have that we’d like to see cleared up before the next election.

There is nothing magic about signing a SF 180,” said former Naval Judge Advocate General Mark Sullivan. “It is sort of like your checkbook. You can fill out a check for one dollar or a million. It is the same check form.”

“And the Globe story says Kerry sent it to the Navy Personnel Command, which is only a limited storage location. So it is not surprising that the Globe then notes that what they received was largely ‘duplication’ of records previously released. The Navy Personnel Command primarily stores a subset of service records rather than a person’s full military records. There is no doubt there are a lot of after-action records missing from what Kerry has released,” said Sullivan.

Washington Post reporter Michael Dobbs has already found a discrepancy confirmed by the Department of the Navy of “at least a hundred pages” missing from those already disclosed by Kerry.

Kerry insists ”The truth in its entirety will come out . . . the truth will come out.”

Signing Form 180 is the first step. Releasing his entire military record to the public is the second.

We are still waiting.

John “HANOI FONDA” Skerry stated in a Congressional Hearing —

“The Marines say they never leave even their dead, These men have 1eft all the casualties and retreated behind a pious shield of public rectitude. They have left the real stuff of their reputations bleaching behind them in the sun in this country.”

What an asinine thing to say from a Navy BOY’s mouth — how did he come to that conclusion after only serving FOUR MONTHS IN-COUNTRY while the rest of us REAL MARINES finished out 13-MONTH TOURS and many, like myself, volunteered for a second tour?

He’s a typical Leftie-loving-ACLU Communist ******* who always puts a spin on everything to get the spotlight off of him — sorry, Punk-***; but hundreds of thousands of ‘Nam Vets are going to ride your ***, until you sign the form and release ALL OF YOUR RECORDS!

    Set it Free John!

Its been two hundred and sixty days since John Kerry promised to sign his 180 and yes, that’s one hundred and forty-one days longer than Kerry “served” in Vietnam. MR. RUSSERT: Would you sign Form 180? SEN. KERRY: Yes, I…

Two Faced Kerry Does 360 On The 180

John, none of your stories match up, including the one you told the Fulbright Committee in 1971. That’s the fabrication about out our military being “war criminals” and committing atrocities that never happened. You besmirched the honor of our fight…

Cao, this is so strong I’m just gonna slam Jean Fraud and send everyone here today… (in an “omnibus” post)

[NOTE: “omnibus—Including or covering many things or classes: an omnibus trade bill.” Guard the Borders, John Kerry’s 180 (see Cao’s post) and Fairtax, plus a few–all in one handy dandy slightly longer than usual post…
