Ward Churchill Protest at DePaul
Imagine that. Conservatives gathering outside the Ward Churchill talk.
Clean cut American kids, on the “right side” of the issues.
Interestingly, though, many of the kids who identified themselves as College Republicans were from UIC’s College Republican group. If I’m not mistaken, there wasn’t any conservative representation from DePaul at this protest, which begs the question; doesn’t DePaul have any, or are people with these views not allowed to speak?
This girl was very interesting. She went on and on about the MILLIONS of black folks who DIED in New Orleans, and how Bush doesn’t care about black people. I asked her if she was Kanye West.
She talked about how New Orleans waited 4 days for “Bush” to send “help”. We asked about what Nagin did, and what about all those buses standing in water. She didn’t have much of a response to those questions, she was more intent on her raging rant against whitey.
Next time I’m going to make sure I get pictures while it’s still light out. The Code Pink Lady would have been very photogenic in the daylight before her face starting twitching and she retreated into the crowd, I’m sure.

So disappointed I wasn’t there. I did write the school to explain my disappointment. I’m alum. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Haha, so YOU are Cao. I was trying to figure out who was who.
I thought most of the supporters there were from DePaul GOP. I think PW managed to bring in 15 or so people. There were bloggers there like you, Freedom Folk, Marathon Pundit, etc. It was a great turnout.

I was just sorry I didn’t start snapping photos while it was still light out.
Next time I’ll have my videocam, I’m working on all kinds of interesting things for the future.
