The Hungarian Uprising, October 23, 1956

Tuesday, October 23rd, 1956. Stuttgart, Germany. Morning, a school day for me, like any other day; up and at ‘em. Breakfast, grab the lunch bag, kiss mom and dad, off to catch the bus for school. But it wasn’t an ordinary day, slightly over 600 miles…

 Why Why WHY is this not news? This is the first I have heard of it, yet I heard about the 2 soldiers burning bodies a couple of days ago.

I’m relatively new to the blogosphere, but I thank God for well informed people that post the real news.

    Thank You

  11. Cao Says:

That, my dear, is the reason many people don’t listen to the news anymore and it’s the very reason why the old media is in an uproar about the blogosphere ignoring them. Blogs are connected; this kind of news travels fast.

The Joel Hinrichs suicide bombing incident in Oklahoma at OU was something they were particularly irritated with the blogosphere about–and they were attacking bloggers for putting together “conspiracy theories”, claiming it wasn’t terrorism-connected. But even a cursory glance over all of that evidence pointed towards an islamist terrorist connection.

The media barely even covered it.

There are so many examples of it I can’t go into it…one of the best blogs for comparisons of news coverage is Michelle Malkin. She kind of straddles the line between being a member of the MSM, and being a blogger. She’s very well connected.
