Open Trackback Post
Blue State Conservative has an interesting idea–a blogroll for people who offer trackbacks at least once a week. I run an open trackback post 3x a week, so here goes.
This is Wednesday’s a tad early.

Trackback as many posts as you want that you think deserves some special attention.
Watch for Open Trackbacks here on Fridays, Sundays and Wednesdays.
Here is the trackback link to this post:
http://caosblog.com/2371/trackback/
To trackback to any post just use the post slug or “permalink” and add trackback/ to the end of it.
Oh, and one more thing. If you don’t mention Cao’s Blog in your post, like “Thanks to Cao’s Blog” with a link, then I’m going to delete your trackback. I check on these things, you know.
If you are unable to send trackbacks, then use the Wizbang Standalone Trackback Pinger.

The Man Before Rosa Parks
Many are the tributes to Rosa Parks today. I will highlight some of them later.
But it is of import to remember the man who came before her: Homer Plessy, an octoroon, and if you are too young to know what that means, you are blessed with ignorance.

Cao,
You have a GREAT blog, my friend…the more I see, the better I like it! Where do you get some of these cartoons and graphics!
Excellent post, as usual!
Like you, I’m pissed at these liberal ******** who have been salivating this week, just waiting for the 2000th death to use for their anti-war agendas.
These 2000 brave souls, who volunteered ALL to defend our nation and support our ideals, have died in a great cause - their sacrifices should be honored, at the very least, with renewed vigilance and vigor on this, the war of our generation.
It is easy to forget that about 50 million people were liberated, over 3,000 schools built, and suffrage for women achieved. And given these 2001 fallen (as of today), there have been no further successful attacks against American soil since 2001. None.
As I’ve said before, I believe THE guarantor of failure would be to follow the weak-hearted pacifists or the misguided Sheens and Sheehans, which would surely put us right back where we were before standing up to terror. Perhaps, given the complacency of the Clinton administration that led us to this place, a better question is this: Is this one we can afford to lose?
God bless our fallen heroes!
