US Embassy got visa for Idema in 2001
If you’re looking for pieces on Jack Idema and his team, please click on this link.
This is so incredibly interesting to me. In the Fayetteville Observer, in this article, there is a stunning paragraph dated August of 2004.
Jonathan Keith “Jack” Idema got into Afghanistan in 2001 after an official at the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan wrote a letter identifying him as a contractor with the Department of Defense.
hmmm. Have you EVER read that before? I don’t think I’ve seen anyone pointing to THAT information before. As a matter of fact, I thought they were accused of using illegal indian passports (which they never had, of course). I thought he was a “rogue”…a “renegade”…a backyard paintball enthusiast. Now I’m seeing a completely different picture that the media and the bloggers ignored. I can’t imagine the stupid blogger in Tasmania knew any better, but I can imagine the media sure did.
I guess there’s no lengths to which the press will go–breaking into offices, stealing personal files and documents, claiming to be people they aren’t (like DOD employees)… And it was repeated in the piece further down–…
The U.S. government has not explained why Idema had a letter from the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan. The letter, dated Nov. 2, 2001, asks Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for help in issuing visas to Idema, Gary Scurka and Greg Long. It identifies the three men as Defense Department contractors.
I’d certainly like to hear the explanation, wouldn’t you? So what are the chances that you’d be somewhere without the credentials and you can just snap your fingers to get the right people to do the right things in order to make things happen to get them without delay? Seems to me, over and over again when I read over these reports, that the guy is incredibly CONNECTED.
And further here:
Idema made friends in high places. Among them is Ted Kavanau, a founder of the Cable News Network and CNN Headline News. Kavanau said he has been friends with Idema for about 10 years.
Kavanau questions why the media are so quick to paint Idema as a renegade madman instead of trying to prove what he says is fact or fiction.
Among Idema’s claims is that he uncovered an al-Qaida plot to set off bombs simultaneously in six American cities.
“If it is true, pin a medal on him,” Kavanau said.
Kavanau said he has seen videos of Idema on his latest trip to Afghanistan, including one where he raided a home and found electronic components concealed in bags of rice.
If Idema is lying, Kavanau says, prove it.
Idema’s lawyer, John E. Tiffany of Bloomfield, N.J., says he plans to prove that Idema is telling the truth. Tiffany says he has scores of videotapes and documents showing that Idema was supported by the government.
If Idema is a con man, as some ill-informed or malicious haters take pleasure in saying; then how can it possibly be that there is an entire side–for example, his very long military background and history–which everyone seems to have ignored and left out? Take a look at the BIG picture that the media has NOT TOLD!
This all leads me to wonder…where were Mariah Blake, Stacy Sullivan, Todd Robberson and all the others–when it was revealed in 2001 that Idema was identified as a DOD contractor? At Starbucks comparing notes?
From Independent Media TV:
The official said an operations officer at the U.S. Defense Attache’s Office wrote to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs seeking entry visas for the three and identifying them as Department of Defense contract workers.
Tom Casey, a State Department spokesman, verified the letter’s authenticity, The Observer said.

To my readers: Both of these comments were left by the same person at the same IP address. Isn’t it too bad that the two Kentucky fried chickens are so bent out of shape about all of this?
I find it incredibly amusing.

Too bad “Jeff”/”Tom”, doesn’t have the courage to leave his real name. He might want to remember the old adage “the feet you step on today, might be connected to the *** you kiss tomorrow”.
