USA Today: Afghanistan insurgency terrorists growing
If you’re looking for pieces on Jack Idema and his team, please click on this link.
Well of course they, are stupid, Karzai keeps letting the Taliban go. Our best defense against Bin Laden and Al Q/Taliban is Jack Idema and his hunting Afghan team who have been neutralized. I don’t imagine this is a “vote of confidence” for SF Ops teams who are working on the ground right now, do you?
Afghanistan insurgence growing stronger
By Gregg Zoroya, USA TODAY
FORT BRAGG, N.C. — U.S. Special Forces soldiers hunting Taliban and foreign fighters in southern Afghanistan say they are encountering a fiercer and more organized adversary than last year, and one that is far from being near collapse as predicted by an American general in April.
Well duh! Idema and his team and their terrorist-fighting efforts have been SQUASHED. You think I blog about this for the PLEASURE OF IT? Whew, I sure would like to get back to my previous peaceful life…but knowing what I know, I just can’t sit around and do NOTHING. What’s happening there also negatively effects all of the operators who are working on the ground right now. To imagine we’ve sent our boys over there to initially fight with the Northern Alliance and then suddenly switch to support the enemy is a complete and total mind F***.
The commander and officers of the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group — an elite counterinsurgency unit known as the Desert Eagles — provided the assessment in a recent video-teleconference briefing here with USA TODAY from battalion headquarters in Kandahar.
The report calls into question plans to replace most, if not all, U.S. forces in the volatile south next year with NATO troops that will not conduct the same aggressive counterinsurgency operations.
Nato Schmato. You want to send a bunch of social workers in to do a man’s job or what?
Sorry bub, this doesn’t make it. Terrorists aren’t going to be “reasoned with”, nobody is going to “win their hearts and minds”–they need to be “offed”. Vaporized. Liquidated. That’s all she wrote, no kumbaya, no “give peace a chance”.
We need the WAR DEPARTMENT back. No more of this “Department of Spitball Defense” BS…we need to be FIGHTING THE REAL WAR for our SURVIVAL, not sending people to sensitivity training to “understand” guys who’d saw our heads off on TV if given the opportunity.
Hey, I think people have forgotten we’re in a freakin’ war against terrorist islamofascists!!!
The troubling unrest in a country that held successful elections and appeared to have quelled the insurgency comes amid heightened concern in Washington over the conflict in Iraq, which is overshadowing Afghanistan.
Not in my world it’s not. Hey look; they arrest guys like Idema and his team for fighting the Islamofascists, then they let THE TERRORISTS go–and -oh this is a good one–then they complain that the terrorists are back on the streets blowing s*** up!
You know what happened with Gulumsaki, the guy who was supposedly “tortured” by Idema? (and the pictures showed no sign of injury?) He was RELEASED. Guess what happened next? There was a terrorist bombing in Kabul. These guys, as has already been proven by the terrorists released from Gitmo–go BACK and KEEP FIGHTING THEIR JIHAD AGAINST AMERICA.
So why the hell are we arresting guys like Idema and letting the terrorists out to commit more crimes? And then the media complains that the “insurgency” is growing. Well DUH! The “insurgency” is getting a helping hand!

:evil:Is there some way that we as taxpayers can demand the so-called department of Defense(what a joke;seems all they have in that department are a bunch of screw ups and screwballs)I would like these people to do a town hall meeting outside the beltway and answer to us(the American people)because I really believe that being in Washington somehow messes people’s minds up and they repeately keep making the same mistake over and over again. We should tell them since they have proven themselves to be ineffective at defending us by ignoring what was successful in the past that they need to move on to something else.Frankly,I think they need to come up with a law like they do in the military and limit how many years you serve only it would be a lot shorter and the penalties a lot higher.
