It’s not entirely clear at this point if Columbia University will even acknowledge its inappropriate action like Yale did recently in the case of suspending the anonymous emailer who blasted Taliban critics. Columbia University’s computers and servers have been a very small group of individuals to threaten, harrass and otherwise discourage the coverage here of the Jack Idema story in addition to other issues that seem to rub these ‘progressives’ the wrong way.

By now, most people are aware that a former top Taliban official was admitted to Yale as a student, but the Yale Law School issued an apology to two alumni whom one of its officials had attacked in an anonymous email as “retarded” and “disgusting” for daring to protest Yale’s admissions decision.

From Students for Academic Freedom comes an article entitled “Temporarily Relieved” Yale suspends the anonymous emailer who blasted Taliban critics. ~by John Fund:

Harold Hongju Koh, the law school’s dean, said that Alexis Surovov had been “temporarily relieved of his duties” as assistant director of annual giving while an investigation is conducted into whether he obtained information from confidential donor databases to launch his anonymous attack. Mr. Surovov was unable to explain to me how he had obtained personal information on Clint Taylor and Debbie Bookstaber, the two Yale alumni, without looking up their private records. “We deeply regret his inappropriate and unauthorized behavior,” Mr. Koh’s statement read. What an eerie coincidence!

John Fund has a little more to say on the matter (from the WSJ Opinion Journal)…which I find utterly fascinating.

Mr. Surovov sent an angry (ANONYMOUS) email from a Columbia University account to Clinton Taylor and Debbie Bookstaber, two young Yale grads who are so frustrated at their alma mater’s refusal to answer questions about Mr. Rahmatullah that they’ve launched a protest. Called NailYale, it focuses on the Taliban’s barbaric treatment of women, which extended to yanking out the fingernails of those who wore nail polish. In a column on TownHall.com, they urged alumni “not give one red cent this year, but instead send Yale a red press-on fingernail.”

So… it would appear as though other people are using Columbia University computer resources for illicit purposes that oppose the leftist ideals within the lofty halls of academe now, wouldn’t it? I wonder if this got out, how it would effect the level of the donations they receive. hmmm?

Because in the case of Columbia U, there is an overwhelming body of evidence which indicates that the content generated at the Stuporpatriots site and the lies that have been spread about Jack Idema come directly from a very specific location within the school, and Jack hasn’t been the only one on the receiving end of this harrassment. Anyone in support of Jack Idema has become a target of these people. Even I’ve been “outed’, harrassed and threatened through those same IP addresses run on Columbia U servers.

These people are now calling me a ‘homocidal maniac’ or something to that effect. They’ve even had the audacity to call me a whore!

And this guy at Yale was temporarily relieved of his duty for calling someone “retarded” in an anonymous email using Columbia U resources. How interesting! Did Columbia U do anything about this, or did they just allow Yale to give the guy a slap on the hands? And what of Columbia U alumni or current students at the school who exhibit this kind of behavior?

There comes a time when there is a crossover from simple namecalling to defamation of character, and I think what has happened with Stuporpatriots fits the bill. They’ve called me a ‘convicted liar’, a “whore”, revealed my place of employment, insinuated that I am guilty of sending money to Jack through paypal, some ridiculous story about ebay, and on and Plus, they actually come here and threatened me, saying I have two sons and a marriage, and they’ll post even more about me at their stupid website if I don’t stop posting (the truth) about Jack Idema, rather than allow the cabal to continue spreading disinformation and lies.

I’m sorry, I just can’t do that. If either of my sons or my husband were in Jack’s shoes, I certainly would be doing what I’m doing now. And I like to look myself in the mirror with a clear conscience. I wonder how you people sleep at night.

I’d like to know what the problem is with reporting something different than the leftist version of the ‘truth’. I mean…’truth’ and ‘facts’ should all be the same, right? Oh, I forgot. You have to put them through that progressive filter!

Here are a few examples of this harrassing irresponsible juvenile behavior emenating from Stuporpatriots. To be honest, I am disgusted. Kender has become a target of these people, and has even gone so far as to call the computer department to try to get this to stop.

Above you can see a sitemeter reading from November. I have an entire log of these. It’s interesting if not almost flabbergasting to note that the majority of negative comments have been coming from this one location.

Notice one of those is from Columbia U, and the other is from the New York Public Library, located right near the Lerner Education Center. There is a definite connection between the two; as you can see above, the person posted very quickly from the other IP address, because I had certain IP addresses in moderation…which means I could see them. My system gives me that kind of flexibility.

How long will our illustrious halls of academe continue to play this game with people? How long can they be allowed to break the law, and what makes them think that the law doesn’t apply to them?

There are many interesting observations one can draw from looking at this location, not the least of which–is this location is within close proximity, if not precisely where the Journalism school is located.

Is Columbia U ‘not responsible’ for people who are posting at Stuporpatriots about me and others in an irresponsible if not defamatory way? They should take the lead from Yale in the case of relieving Alexis Surovov of his duties for obtaining information from confidential donor databases.

Let’s not forget; the Stuporpatriots website posted my autotrack information on December 17th of 2005; which included partial social security numbers, addresses and phone numbers of me, my family, and all those close to me within the past 20 years including my former husband and inlaws. This was in violation of the agreement the Locateplus account holder agreed to and that person’s account was suspended. You can’t be just any old person to have one of these accounts–you have to be licensed, like a private investigator or someone in law enforcement. Choicepoint has very particular criteria under which an individual can run these reports; and one of them is that this information is not to be made public.

This is in violation of the blogger agreement, and when I brought it to their attention, they took it down.

3. Transmitting to any person, with the intent to harass and regardless of whether the communication is read in its entirety or at all, any file, document, or other communication which prevents that person from using his or her telephone service or electronic communications device;
3.1 Transmitting an electronic communication or knowingly inducing a person to transmit an electronic communication for the purpose of harassing another person who is under 13 years of age, regardless of whether the person under 13 years of age consents to the harassment, if the defendant is at least 16 years of age at the time of the commission of the offense;

5. Knowingly permitting any electronic communications device to be used for any of the purposes mentioned in this subsection (a).

I wonder if threatening to send information to my husband constitutes harrassment of a family member. At any rate, you get the idea. Illinois laws are extremely comprehensive where this is concerned.

You’re a complete idiot if you think what I post here is ‘whatever Jack tells” me to. I post whatever I damn well please (but within reason), and it’s not about ‘personal attacks’, it’s about setting the record straight.

It’s you who have been publishing personal attacks, all based on the same lies and fantasies by the same small group of individuals and it’s time this was laid to rest for good. I know of all of this from my own research, not because Jack is telling me what to publish or Tiffany, or Bumback, or anyone else, so let’s get that straight.

I, unlike you, didn’t graduate from an Ivy League school that demonizes people of a certain ideology and writes them off as being ‘wingnuts’. I’m able to discern between truth and fiction, and I believe everyone is entitled to the facts–not facts that have been pushed through a progressive filter.

I picked up this story after my son had gone to Iraq with the 980th Engineering Battallion and watched in horror as the media pumped out their propaganda about the Koran flushing which cost American lives, and watched our government turn its back on Ilario Pantano, and much more. I don’t care if you don’t like it, as a matter of fact, I almost take pleasure in the fact that you’re so adamant with your name calling and threats because it’s proved everything I’ve said here is correct.

So bring it on, realize defending your girlfriend and putting up the Stuporpatriots site right after “Tin Soldier” was printed has bought you much more than you bargained for. Just another example of how the cabal will throw someone under the bus. Thank the Colonel for me, would you?
