Vietnam Vets Get Homecoming 20+ Years Later
Because of the likes of John Kerry and Jane Fonda, when our Vietnam Vets came home from the war, they were spit on and called ‘baby killers’. But the tide has since changed. Now, when our vets come home, there are yellow ribbons and grateful people thanking them for their service. And alongside them, sometimes, you will find Vietnam Vets standing there with their hats on or medals. And they are receiving now, thanks for time served, from a grateful country-that they missed out on over 20 years ago. Read this from the Koolaid Man.
A nod and a wink goes over to NoteIt Posts where I saw this first. Sweet webdesign on that one, too, Lisa.

It’s pretty sad - America finally allegedly “recognizing” us ‘Nam Vets after all of these years!
I volunteered to serve our beloved country at the age of 17 with the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS — I served two (2) tours in ‘Nam as a Forward Scout/Sniper, alongside with GySgt. Carlos Hathcock (’Nam gooks called him “White Feather” because of his skills to go undetected) and GySgt. R. Lee Ermey (you know him from the movie, “Full Metal Jacket” and the current show, “Mail Call”).
The last son-of-a-***** who spit on me in San Francisco after my 2nd tour, found himself lying on the sidewalk, unconcious from being hit so hard with the butt of my rifle, he literally lost eight teeth and a broken jaw in three places … am I sorry for my actions? HELL NO!
Lastly; to this day, Lee Ermey and I remain friends.
OOHHRRAAHH - SEMPER FI - EIGHTH & I - DO OR DIE - CARRY ON!!!

I didn’t joined in the anti-war rhetoric~too much respect for the military with my Dad, Uncle and Grandfather having served. Now I have two sons who have some experience with it…Brian may not be in the USMC JR ROTC anymore, but he’s got a lot of knowledge and is countering the disinformation that’s being spread at his school about the draft.
My whole family respects men who spent time in the service of our country. You’ve had an amazing life, that’s for sure!
I think it’s a good thing and I thank God that the nation has come around to respecting our men in uniform again.

Cao - I’m just glad, and very proud, to see you brought up a good son who knew to join “America’s Finest Elite Fighting Force”!
