Pope’s speech brings muslim outrage, vatican apology and dhimmitude

This is the result of the Pope’s speech from Tuesday; a sick depiction of the pope as a vampire by the jihadis which apparently is being promulgated and passed about on the jihadi message boards. This picture was sent to Michelle Malkin from Lorenzo Vidino, counterterrorism expert and author of al Qaeda in Europe.
The sickening call for his beheading is written in red.
Robert Spencer at Jihadwatch points out here that after Friday prayers, they hit the streets calling for the pope to ‘know his place’, saying ‘be within your limits’.
The Pope’s speech quoted a medieval scholar who said Islam’s Prophet Mohammad had brought no good, and Muslims spread their faith by force. Doesn’t the picture of the pope reiterate this point? Doesn’t the call for his beheading demonstrate that you mustn’t say anything that is perceived as an insult to Islam or you become a bloody target?
Yet the Vatican already has backpedalled to soften the message, issuing an apology for his having done so.
The Vatican said on Saturday the Pope was sorry if Muslims were offended by the speech he gave on Tuesday,
Meanwhile…Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs shows “Out of the Mosque and Into the Street” with demonstration photos that Friday’s marches against the Pope’s words were a direct result of their having gone to Mosque, after Friday prayers.

Oh, goody. From what little I knew of modern Italy, it seemed pretty dang sane, but I wonder how much of that was Fallaci’s doing…
Anyway, I came here via a long, long string of research on Afghanistan (started by watching Path to 9/11, because I was strikingly clueless until then), and I wanted to know: What is Jack Idema doing these days? He hasn’t updated SuperPatriots since about last October, and I can’t find his talk show anywhere.

Oh, Goody. A real live representative of Colorado U at Ft. Collins. Nice to have you here, although I can’t imagine what kind of research you could possibly be doing on Afghanistan here at my site. You honestly don’t expect me to believe that line of hogwash, do you?
Take a look at Wide Awakes Radio aka WAR, or Rogue Radio Live, and Afghan Injustice dot com, and make sure you check out the articles there. I’m pretty consistent with my posting about Jack and my support of his show, I can’t believe you would have missed it. Give my regards to Ward Churchill.

You’re confusing Colorado University in Boulder with Colorado State University in Fort Collins. We’re much saner over here.
And yes, it is research about Afghanistan. I found reference to the Khalili mentioned in Path to 9/11, and searching for his name led to SuperPatriots, and I noticed Jack hadn’t updated in a while, and Wikipedia said you would know.

You’re a lot closer to Ward Churchill than I am, I’m nowhere near Colorado. I don’t think I’m confusing anything. Colorado is still Colorado, isn’t it? Ward Churchill’s school was in Colorado before he got canned, and to my knowledge, he’s still there somewhere. But interesting you should assert that you’re ’saner’ over there. It’s certainly not, if your cryptic line of questioning is any clue.
Wikipedia said I would know? heh!
Not sure if I know precisely what information you’re looking for. Jack doesn’t maintain Superpats, Special Forces soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan do. As far as I know, the guys who were in Afghanistan have moved over to Iraq to be nothing more than body guards. It’s disgusting. For all I know, some have returned stateside.
If you’re concerned about their not updating the pats website, why don’t you drop them a line? You can get RDX at info@superpatriots.us

Pope apologizes to Muslims and Islam.
Pope Benedict XVI said Sunday that he was “deeply sorry” about the angry reaction to his recent remarks about Islam, which he said came from a text that didn’t reflect his personal opinion. “These (words) were in fact a quota…
