FBI disrupts terror attack for CherryVale Mall
Although the reports keep repeating that this was a Chicago area incident, Rockford is actually closer to the Wisconsin border than to Chicago.

Derrick Shareef is a US citizen, a recent convert to Islam, and was motivated by jihadi websites. The mall was CherryVale shopping center. The guy was going to set off grenades in garbage cans.
The Smoking Gun has some interesting stuff on it; Jared Ruddy’s affadavit from a court filing in this case. Ruddy is an FBI Agent, specifically, a Chicago agent in the Joint Terrorism Task Force.
