“He’s our brother”
Read this piece “Notes from a War Diary” by Ollie North. There are several little stories there, but the last one is the one that touched me the most. It’s also at Military dot com, and at Fox. Thanks to Jo with her heads up on this post to several treasures online.
As we celebrate Christmas with our families, we should remember those who’ve made the supreme sacrifice so that we could sleep safe in our beds at night, and pray for their loved ones left behind.
John 15:13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. - King James Version
We should also remember why God sent his son to earth, and cherish the real reason for the season; the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, for us all to be washed in the blood of the lamb; if only we accept his gift of unconditional love and salvation. So be proud, and don’t be reluctant to say, “Merry Christmas”.
John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - King James Version
Surely with all the hardships of today’s conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, what we face today can’t even remotely compare with what George Washington faced during the early years of the Revolutionary War, when Washington’s Continental army left bloody footprints in the snow along the path to Valley Forge, when General Washington fell to his knees asking for God’s guidance to persevere to victory.
Please extend prayers to the Innocent 8, those being crucified in the press, and in the courts on the lies of known terrorists, and pray that the truth will prevail; their honor will be restored, and their names will stop being dragged through the mud by journalists, terrorists and leftists who don’t care whose lives they ruin, as long as they score a political point.
May God bless them, every one.
