Great Article! I too do not have thyroid and refused to live on the “only” medication the doctor said was availalbe. Arming myself with information I found a doctor to prescribe me Armour Thyroid (made from pigs) and it turned my life around. I too do not have my gall bladder, and you know I’m a T2 diabetic. I refused to continue to keep incresing medications to the max and went on a daily dose of insulin, Lantas, myself. This choice allowed me to stop all but one oral medication for my diabetes and I am now living a life I control, not controlled by my conditions. Patients have to learn and help themselves.

Wow, Jo, I had no idea! I mean about the thyroid part. Interesting; my Associated Content page didn’t pick up your page view. I wonder why not? Anyway, it’s a journey, and our health is in our own hands; gone are the days when we should consider that doctors are Gods we should not question; we should arm ourselves with knowledge, which is pretty simple to do in this day and age. Thanks for the comment!
