This is a joint effort with a number of other bloggers, attempting to raise awareness for the human rights violations of China before the Olympics in August of 2008 which will take place in Beijing.

My friend Cao - from Ireland - has two posts up on this, here and here. (Caoimhin is gaelic for “Kevin”.) I’d like to see meatbrain go over and call Cao a cow, LOL….particular since his little graphic reminds me of Ergun Caner, the 300-pound turk.

The graphic from faithmouse is called “Dancing Beijing Man (in chains) Olympic Logo”, and the concept was created by Faithmouse. We are encouraging a boycott - and activism to respond to China’s ongoing human rights violations and despicable human rights record. (But what do you want from a communist country?) The idea is to post this graphic on your site and to link to all the others (or as many as you can) who do the same. This will boost google and other search engines’ rating of the graphic, thereby raising awareness to the suffering caused by the Chinese government.

We shouldn’t be promoting business with oppressive despotic dictatorships and communist regimes like China, let alone give them an economic boon in tourism which they’ll be beneficiaries of because of hosting the 2008 Olympic games Beijing.
