why do imposters lie?

By: Cao, Filed under: General , Task Force Sabre 7 @ 2:06 am

At newsday we have the story of another poser guy.

Criminologists and psychiatrists say that impostors who adopt the extreme tactics of a man like Henry Terry — whom Suffolk authorities accused last week of posing as a cop and operating his own mock precinct — typically feel powerless when they aren’t wearing the bogus badge.

“It’s really all about masculine inadequacy,”
said N.G. Berrill, a Great Neck forensic psychiatrist and partner in a consulting firm.

Is that what Joe Cafasso’s problem is? Is that why he needs to beat women?

He said people like Terry who go to such extremes “are typically feeling inadequate. They don’t feel very powerful. They don’t feel virile and they typically form a pathologic attachment to fantasies of being powerful.”

Terry, who was arraigned last week on charges of third-degree grand larceny and first-degree criminal impersonation, pulled over motorists in his blue Crown Victoria and referred to himself as Cpl. Terry. He even sported an authentic-looking uniform that had many believing he was the real thing, police say.

So then we need to turn to Carteret Con Artist’s post here, with Joe Cafasso’s arm-long resume that people have told me would be impossible to have accomplished. If you’re going to pad your resume, Joe, you should at least make it believable. You are not going to believe this.

Update: This is actually “Jay” Cafasso’s resume, but it’s the same guy using a million pseudonyms, so who the hell cares.

We’ll get to this amazing photograph of him with his hairy back and the military-looking black cord around his neck in a future post with some other interesting things he’s adopted in his faux persona as a former military man after really having served only 44 days in the army after being kicked out as ‘unsuitable for service’. This man is not only a consommate liar and con artist, he has also bilked people for untold sums of money and credit card fraud. Bear in mind that this is a completely fictitious resume!

Is it true that Uncle Jimbo over at blackfive is a fraud?

  2. ghostrider Says:

He’s what they call a resume padder. This is what special forces has to say on him:

    From sfops2kabul:

    On BLACKFIVE it says:

“Uncle Jimbo- Retired Special Operations Master Sergeant, James Hanson is now focused on writing about the military, politics, intelligence operations and foreign policy.”

James Hanson was not a Master Sergeant in any Special Operations or Special Forces unit. Nor was Hanson ever a Special Forces team sergeant. Nor can you be a Special Forces team sergeant/operations sergeant or Master Sergeant carrying the 18B skill identifier. It is simply impossible. I know, personally, what is required to become an SF Team Sergeant.

Any of you that think I am not on point may feel free to contact Command Sergeant Major Michael T. Hall or the SOCOM or USASOC PAO(Public Affairs Office)at:
    Phone: (910) 432-9233/9107
    FAX: (910) 432-1002

Or you can visit the school archives at:
Building D-3915, Special Operations Academic Facility, Ardennes St, Ft. Bragg, NC 28310

Apparently, no, as a matter of fact, Uncle Jimbo falsified his military credentials, claimed to be that which he was not, and engaged in “resume padding,” something that bloggers would normally light up the fire zone over. Because Jack Idema has become some sort of lightening rod for poser venting, nobody seems to care. We in Special Forces do care.

Finally, on the subject of James Hanson, there is no record of him ever being on a Special Forces team. He may have been, but if so, it is time to prove it. As I understand it, the Navy SEALs have also been requested to verify or disavow the SEAL resumes on BLACKFIVE. I think we all deserve to know if such a prominent military blog is basically poser smoke.

    For your further consideration:

In the SF battalion, two of the 18 A-teams are trained in combat diving and three are trained in military free-fall parachuting. Both are used as methods of infiltration.

The two most sought after “speciality” teams are the SCUBA Team, and the Hostage Rescue/Counter-Terrorist team (Charlie Company), called the SOT team in the 80’s when Idema was on one.

As proven by photos Cao posted, Idema was on both. That puts him the most respected 5% of the most respected and highly trained 1% of America’s military.

People keep asking for proof. Please grow up. The proof is overwhelming:

    Jack
    Jack and the SAS

And this page might be the most compelling:
    Jack’s diploma’s

So, “military bloggers” maybe you better get with the program and start writing about facts, not anonymous opinions by anonymous posers afraid to even post their email addresses.
