global warming fascism

Climate of Fear, by Richard Lindzen

Indeed, the success of climate alarmism can be counted in the increased federal spending on climate research from a few hundred million dollars pre-1990 to $1.7 billion today. It can also be seen in heightened spending on solar, wind, hydrogen, ethanol and clean coal technologies, as well as on other energy-investment decisions.

But there is a more sinister side to this feeding frenzy. Scientists who dissent from the alarmism have seen their grant funds disappear, their work derided, and themselves libeled as industry stooges, scientific hacks or worse. Consequently, lies about climate change gain credence even when they fly in the face of the science that supposedly is their basis.

And to think… when I pointed out to a global warming fanatic just how many scientists were being silenced when they spoke out against global warming, I was summarily written off as a conspiracy theorist and disbelieving of the ‘reality’ of the situation.

    … Right.

  2. Ogre Says:

Global warming, the more I see and read about it, is NOTHING more than an industry to generate cash. Nothing else at all.

Oh, c’mon Tree-Huggers — give it up; most of us won’t be alive when the alleged global warming is finished … it’s GOD’s Universe; He created it and does specific things at specific times to keep everything in balance, and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Great blog, Cao. I found you by searching for Global Warming. I had an article on it yesterday myself and received a note from Dr. Manns, who has also contributed to your discussions of the subject.

  5. Cao Says:

Dr. Manns sent me some files, and more ammunition against the lefty environuts. He is a nice man.

    Thanks, Linoge, Yat, Ogre.
