Islamists in Oakland have been waging a campaign of intimidation and violence to carve out a section of the “progressive” city that conforms to Islamic law — and the far-Left municipal leadership has looked the other way. It appears, however, they have finally gone too far.

I do have one observation to make, though. Not all choices lead to good outcomes, and this is about the most radical outcome of leftist stupidity I’ve ever seen.

For example: Yusef Bey, who founded Your Black Muslim Bakery and a number of other businesses, died of cancer in 2003. His court hearings on charges of rape, sodomy and lewd acts on children hadn’t come up yet. He had, in fact, impregnated a 13-year old girl and was reputed to having other ‘relations’ with underage girls that resulted in something like 50 out-of-wedlock children.

They claim that they’re about ‘morality’ and ‘clean living’, but these people are more like street gangs…the torture and murders that are described in that piece describe a culture that I’m amazed has survived here. It is no surprise that the Bey’s group was related to the teachings of Elijah Muhammad, now associated by leftists with the ‘civil rights’ movement…when the truth is far from the “reality”-based community that journalists supposedly are a part of…
