22nd Annual Muslim Day Parade
This is just wrong.
On September 9, 2007, a pre-9/11 celebration of sorts will be taking place in New York City, as Islamists from across the Tri-State area will congregate there for the 22nd Annual Muslim Day Parade. If past parades are any indication, law enforcement will need to be on high alert, as the participants have been amongst the most radical in the nation. Will the city allow this denigration of a very somber day to take place, or will it remember its many victims of terrorism and shut it down?
The parade is being run by the Muslim Foundation of America (MFA), an organization located in the Astoria section of Queens that was founded in 1983, around the time of the first annual parade. In actuality, both the MFA and the parade appear to be the same entity with different names, as the MFA’s website, since it was first created in October of 2003, has been devoted almost entirely to discussing the parade.
Thousands are expected to attend this year’s event. In the past, the number of parade-goers has varied. While some participants may be coming out to experience a day of fun with their fellow religionists, others have an alternative agenda.
A pre 9-11 CELEBRATION? Hmm. One of the most somber days in American history has been hijacked by those who are responsible for the attacks of this day in 2001.
The Grand Marshal for the 2006 parade was Siraj Wahhaj, a Brooklyn imam who is known for his fiery speeches, including those that have been considered threatening to the United States. In February of 1995, Wahhaj was named – along with such people as Osama bin Laden and bin Laden’s mentor, Abdullah Azzam – as a potential co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
Another Grand Marshal of a past parade was Muzzamil Siddiqi, the former President of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a mosque umbrella organization that was recently named a co-conspirator to the financing of millions of dollars to Hamas. Siddiqi, like Wahhaj, has also verbally threatened the United States, stating in October of 2000, “America has to learn. If you remain on the side of injustice, the wrath of G-d will come.” There are pictures of Siddiqi speaking at the parade, on the MFA site.
Does this surprise anyone? All these Muslim groups who aspire to share the wonders of their religion, one of peace, are full of our enemies who aspire to attack us again. These Islamafreakoids preach hate and inspire their young to become martyrs for the cause.
On the MFA website, in addition to the parade photo gallery, there is also a section titled, “USEFUL LINKS.” Four out of the five links listed (complete with their logos) are national organizations which have been found to be part of the violent Muslim Brotherhood overseas. They include the aforementioned ICNA and ISNA, as well as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim Students Association (MSA). CAIR was created by the American propaganda wing of Hamas, the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), in 1994, and the MSA was the first organization created by the Brotherhood within the United States, in 1963.
Along with the parade, the MFA will be holding an essay contest for children and young adults. The themes for the different age groups vary. For those age 9 – 13 it is ‘Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the best Role Model,’ for ages 14 – 18 it’s ‘The Man is the Best Creation of Allah (SWT),’ and for ages 19 – 23 it’s ‘The Purpose of my Life.’
Uugh. And will New Yorkers allow this?
Shamsi Ali, a member of the parade’s Board of Trustees, runs a children’s madrassa – the Jamaica Muslim Center in Queens – where boys sit all day, Monday through Friday, and memorize the Quran by rote. One of his students and possible participant in the essay contest, a 13 year old named Sameer Uddin, explained to The New York Times his reasons for staying enrolled in Ali’s class. Bringing up disturbing illusions to thoughts of future martyrdom, Sameer stated, “I want to take my parents to heaven.”
Good ole American values here at work huh?
The organizers of the parade state that one of their objectives is “to demonstrate and clarify Islamic values and traditions.”
And they’re doing just this. Islamic values of death, terror, and taking over the free world via these activities.
The fact that this parade is taking place so close to Ground Zero is an insult to the memory of the 3,000 people who perished there six years before. The event should be taken as a threat to public safety and, therefore, it is incumbent on the city of New York to not only watch all of those involved, but to work to shut down the event completely, along with the sponsoring organizations.
If you are concerned about this parade taking place in New York City two days prior to the anniversary of 9/11 – if you are concerned this parade is taking place at all – contact the Mayor’s office.
September 11th is not the day for Muslims to be out and about marching in any way, shape or form. To call this a celebration speaks to what the true meaning of this day is for Muslims. It’s criminal that these people get away with this.

This is by far the scariest thing I have read in awhile. There surely is someone out there with the kahaunas to rid this country of these kinds of threatening groups and activities and the disrespect they demonstrate toward “Native Born Americans”.

Six years have passed since the worst terrorist attack on America. It seems that most Americans do not remember what happened on September 11, 2001. We are back to business as usual.
While our military is fighting the War on Terror, American consumers are financing terrorism by buying Middle Eastern oil. While a Crucifix submerged in urine is considered to be a free artistic expression and received a government grant, flushing a Koran down the toilet is prosecuted as a hate crime.
While moderate Muslim groups like American Islamic Forum for Democracy and Muslims Against Sharia are virtually unheard of, terrorist fronts like CAIR and MPAC receive multi-million dollar payments from Saudi Arabia and enjoy full recognition by our government officials.

The last time I checked, we were living in a democracy. The Muslims have held the same parade for years before 9/11 and since without incident. In fact, it’s always the most peaceful of all the NYC parades. I attended a so-called “salute to Israel” parade recently, and it was infested with jewish fanatics who were openly supporting the IDF and JDL. Both are notorious terrorist organizations.

Ugh. I think you have your parades mixed up. The IDF is Israel’s defense forces. The muslim organizations that were involve in the muslim parade were terrorist organizations as you can read here and here.

People have always come to New York from all over the world, bringing different customs, traditions, and faiths. This incredible diversity is one of the things that makes New York the greatest City in the world. New York’s Muslim community is a vital part of our city, and it would be terrible mistake for anyone to implicate a whole group of innocent individuals - no matter what their faith - with the terrible acts committed on September 11, 2001.
In the aftermath of the attacks, our City united as never before - and we remain united today, across all ethnicities, races, and religions. I can think of no better response to the terrorists than demonstrating our determination to stand together as New Yorkers and as Americans, celebrating the unity we have found in our diversity.

Looking at that email again, I have to wonder, do some of those customs and traditions he finds so desirable include raising funds to support terrorist training camps and buying materials being used to make IEDs to kill American troops???? And how about funding schools that teach impressionable children to hate everything and everybody that doesn’t adhere to radical Islam??? Holy Cow!!!!!

In response to comment by Cao, the IDF commit atrocities on a daily basis. Let me name a few: the killing of Palestinian children and babies; the demolition of Palestinian property; and the targeted assassinations of Palestinian political leaders. In addition, the JDL is listed on the state department’s list of domestic terror organizations. “how many Amerikkans have they killed?” Every U.S. soldier that has fallen in Iraq, gave his or her life defending Israeli insecurity in the region; only they didn’t know!

In 1948 Pasha and Husseini declared they were going to blast the Jews to smithereens and steal all their money. Everyone around them decided to join in, and they all got their asses kicked. Lord JAH helped the Israelis defeat incredible odds to re-establish the Holy Land. Palestine wasn’t proposed as a separate entity until 1964, when the Mufti was trying to think of new schemes to defeat the Israelis. They first tried to establish it in Jordan.
The killing of Palestinians and babies is propaganda that you’ve obviously fallen for…islamist propaganda. Terrorists throw bombs, and lead their children into war, using women and children as shields, all the while glorifying dying for Islam. It’s really a sad state of affairs that we’ve seen play out elsewhere, and it is senseless and stupid.
Then when death happens, particularly to the children they surround themselves with, suddenly they weren’t waging a jihad, they were ‘innocent civilians’. They are encouraging young mothers to kill themselves for jihad. (At that link) -From Hamas TV channel, Al Aqsa TV, and published by Palestinian Media Watch. The four-year-old daughter of female suicide bomber singing to her dead mother and vows to follow in her footsteps.
Teaching Children to die for Allah in Palestine and Lebanon
So children die. This is what they instruct them to do. If they take infidels with them, their relatives rejoice. If they don’t and still die for the sake of jihad, it is still celebrated. Saddam actually paid the families of suicide bombers. This is a part of their culture - this is what Bin Laden instructs his followers to do. This is the way of the anti-west jihad.

Saddam’s sons were killed with Saddam’s 14-year-old grandson, Mustafa. What was that child doing with those two?
Zarqawi (although not Palestinian) was an Islamist terrorist who was killed with his wife and young son, as another example…I’m sure Zarqawi’s mother is proud of her shaheed…Zarqawi had no business dragging the two children with him-According to Daisy Cutter, the people who died with Zarqawi were his 16-year-old wife of 3 years and his 18-month-old son. I would call this child abuse….
Bin Laden travels with his four wives and all 20 something of their children–if they’re going to wage jihad and invite attacks on their women and children by using them as shields, they get what they ask for, I have no sympathy.
Israelis, on the other hand, protect women and children. Terrorists think it’s a courageous act to murder a pregnant women and her four children. (Gaza Strip settlement bloc of Gush Katif.)
There is no such thing as Palestinians, and that’s just to start with….more propaganda of ‘innocent civilians’ -the Qana Massacre (Lebanon), as an example, was a photo op where they trucked dead bodies from a morgue and planted them in the dirt to have a photo op putting them on the trucks. The only problem with that was - the bodies had rigor mortis, and were discolored from decomposition.

When you can tell me what legitimate reason the Arabs are living in that region, (which you can’t -the Arabs abandoned them there in order to keep this conflict alive).

I have participated in the Muslim Day Parade for years and know most of the organizers who are accused of having terrorist ties. I am a vet to the USMC, born and raised right here in America. In my opinion, most of these comments are made out of ignorance.

Riiight. Keep telling yourself that; the terrorists are merely following what’s in the Qu’ran. Granted not all muslims are terrorists, but a whole lot of terrorists are muslims.
It’s really hard to tell the moderates from the terrorists because the moderates oftentimes do not denounce the actions of their terrorist brethren and, in fact, FUND their activities. So what’s the difference, one asks oneself, if they are fundraising to put the tools of terror in the terrorists hands? Not much; which is why the holy land foundation and a number of other Islamic ‘humanitarian” organizations who were caught funding jihad were shut down..and when watching CAIR in action, it appears as though Islam has EVERYTHING to do with terrorism, as CAIR is a terrorist organization that works against the infidel through the courts and through other methods. You don’t need to strap on a bomb, LOL, to wage this jihad in order for sharia law to be the ruling law of the land…
And it looks like it’s already worked in Britain, as sharia courts are popping up all over the place there.
If terrorism had nothing to do with Islam, you have to wonder why it’s imams, clerics and muslim holy men who are preaching that it’s the religious duty of the ummuh to join and support the mujahideen, whilst quoting the qu’ran.
The narrative of the Nick Berg beheading tape is completely religious…commanding the ummuh to fight in the name of Allah, that it’s time to pick up the sword against the nonbelievers, and that Nick Berg is dying because he is not a muslim.
Bin Laden’s sect has determined that any muslim that doesn’t belong to his sect is an apostate, so it would seem to me as though the rest of the muslims should - at the very least - be a little worried. The majority have been silent about all of this, which to me is a signal of consent and approval.
But then there are folks like you, who deny it has anything to do with Islam.
