This is one ignorant, stupid Democrapper S.O.B.!

[ EDIT ] Were you born naturally stupid Moron, or do you have to work at it everyday???

You’re full of $hit by saying you’ll “keep the city in mind every day” — that’s soooo typical of you ignorant; lying Demo$hitter’s just to get Black votes!!!

The Dumba$$e$ in New Orleans were warned days ahead of the storm, to get their stupid a$$ out of the city and harm’s way — then, they had the gall to blame it on Bush and the Gov’t. — which proves just how ignorant you people really are!!!

NEW ORLEANS - Democrat Barack Obama said Sunday the country cannot fail New Orleans again and that as president, he would keep the city in mind every day.

“The words never again cannot be another empty phrase,” he said in front of one of the few rebuilt houses he saw on a brief tour of the city’s Gentilly Woods section. “It cannot become another broken promise.”

Obama is the first of several presidential candidates from both parties who are set to visit New Orleans in connection with the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina on Wednesday. President Bush also is expected to mark the occasion with a trip to the Gulf Coast.

Obama, whose day began at First Emanuel Baptist Church, said that long before Katrina, the nation had failed to lift up New Orleans, a city with persistent struggles such as poverty and poor public schools. He said that cannot happen again and that Americans have a “collective responsibility” to each other.

“Racial discord, poverty, the old divisions of black and white, rich and poor, it’s time to leave that to yesterday,” he said.

“In rebuilding, we’ve got an opportunity to do more than put up a foundation that for too long failed the people of New Orleans,” he told congregants. Some snapped photos of him at the pulpit with their cell phones.

“In rebuilding, we’ve got an opportunity to build something better, a foundation that can put up with a lot, upon which the children of New Orleans can build their dreams.”

Progress since Katrina has been slow, mired in bureaucracy and marred by fingerpointing among federal, state and local officials. Some small businesses are struggling, houses remain empty in vast sections of the city and people are frustrated.

From several residents, Obama heard about poor infrastructure and the slow pace of home rebuilding grants. He walked past empty lots overgrown with weeds rising above his head and saw Federal Emergency Management Agency trailers and signs advertising services such as mold remediation.

“I just feel like we’ve been forgotten about,” resident JoAnn Fleming Bradley told him.

The Illinois senator criticized Bush for what he said was a lack of urgency in rebuilding the city. “I can promise you this: I will be a president who wakes up every morning and goes to bed every night with the future of this city on my mind,” Obama said.

He may go to bed and wake up every morning thinking about them. BUT, just what is he going to do to help the people of New Orleans? Empty promises! And, these people feed on these empty promises every day and won’t learn this time from it, either.

  2. John Harris, New York, NY Says:

False perceptions of reality have deceived the America populace far too long while ignorance runs rampant throughout. While fostering a perception that change must begin with the White House, which is a lie! Change must come from within the individual, the American people and then change will come to the White House, if change is whats needed.

Hilary Clinton for president would be the worst mistake America has made in recent years and would spell the end of the Democratic party as a functioning entity. With the American infrastructure deteriorating at an alarming rate with bridges collapsing, cities decimated while the socioeconomic structure devastated by the influx of illegal immigrants and neither the Presidency, Congress or local politicians taking appropriate action to safeguard the American people.

Then there are the existing presidential candidates spouting illusionary promises while claiming to or will be something far more than any are capability of providing. Neither the Democratic or Republican parties have anything to offer the American people nor until America takes stock in and of itself will matters continue to degrade to the point of no return.

New Orleans is not a one sided issue as Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama would have America believe. Both city, state and federal governments are equally the blame while it is easy to point the finger what did Louisiana, Illinois, Virginia and other cities do to ensure the protection of its citizenry? If the truth be told these cities did little if anything while blaming federal government for its individual shortcomings. Only a fool would believe the garbage being spouted by Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama, Giuliani and the likes thereof.

China is rapidly overtaking America and why? Simply put, China for years had a closed door policy as relates to foreign intervention and involvement until China was secure in maintaining itself as a nation.

What is America’s excuse? Why is Congress so inept in its duties and responsibilities while placing total blame on the Bush Administration?

Again, only a fool would believe this is the case because constitutionally both Congress and the Bush Administration are equally responsible for the mess America is in and can seemingly do nothing to revert things still yet to happen.

Lastly, what are we, the people doing to ensure that we, the people have a fair and honest representative in government?

Why are we, the people so caught up on gender and ethnicity that we cannot see that racial profiling is an evil destroying America from within?

A “NO VOTE” for both Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama, Rudy Giuliani is an honest and correct vote — anything less would be to further the atrocities befalling we, the people!

John Harris - good commentary; most of the readers of the Blog will agree with you!

Poor little Kristi — the Trolling Democrapper!

Listen up, Numbnuts - if you don’t love America, shut the hell up; pack your bags and move to a different country!

You’re quite obviously too stupid to realize many Americans gave money to the Katrina Fund, besides the Gov’t. — so tell us; what happened to all of that money?

I’m sure that by now, you’re turning beet-red; pounding your little fists on the keyboard and screaming because I, and many millions, disagree with your pansy-a$$ lunatic rantings.

No; I don’t own the Blog — merely post great articles — if you don’t like what’s posted, take your scrawny little 10-yr old screaming a$$ somewhere else and start your own blog.

FYI — I’ve been thru numerous Hurricanes while living on the Texas Gulf coast — wanna know the difference between those in New Orleans and SMART, INTELLIGENT TEXANS ?

Texans listen to the T.V. and radio during Hurricane season — we’re smart enough to pack our stuff; leave the coastal cities; and not sit back whining and crying — “The Gov’t. didn’t warn us in time; they didn’t come and get us and take us out of harm’s way!”

Well, Dip-$hit — the Hurricane Center DID warn your dumba$$es for days in advance — were you expecting people to come to New Orleans; take you by the itty-bitty hand, and tell you to leave?

We, as Americans did help you after the Hurricane — now, it’s up to you to get off your whining a$$ and help yourselves!

  6. Hoosier Army Mom Says:

Kristi, first of all, most of us who are of a more intelligent mindset do not appreciate your coming on here throwing insults at everyone.

Secondly, do your research and you will find that many residents of NOLA have committed fraud and sucked up resources as well and the government dropping the ball on the recovery. Many people, including citizens who post on this blog have donated time and money to help out. The difference between NOLA and other places hit by Katrina along the Gulf Coast is called “An Attitude of Entitlement”.

I have a friend who is a Vet that owns his own construction company who, at his own expense, took crews and material down to the Mississippi Coast for a month and then went to New Orleans for a month as volunteers to help out right after the storm.

Do you know what he told me about the experience?

The Mississippians all kicked in and helped them rebuild schools and repair houses and helped them in anyway they could — he left there wishing he had more time and resources to help out.

Then he went to New Orleans where no one wanted to “pitch in” and only came around to complain that they weren’t doing enough!

He said he wished he had just spent the entire two months volunteering in MS.

Americans helping Americans should be second nature, but American’s chipping in and helping themselves should be second nature as well, not whining and complaining when sincere help does arrive — I am sure this is not true of everyone in New Orleans, but looking at your post I find myself wondering!
