The Worst School in America
By David Horowitz and Jacob Laksin - FrontPageMagazine
Nestled in a redwood glade on cliffs above the Pacific Ocean, the University of California at Santa Cruz is one of the most picturesque campuses in America. Its 15,000 students attend classes in 62 majors at 10 colleges, in an environment that would seem an ideal locale for the contemplative life. In the hard sciences, it can be said that Santa Cruz handsomely fulfills its academic expectations.
Its physics program is ranked among the best in the country, while its Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, which houses the Lick Observatory, is a world class scientific institution. But inside the classrooms of its liberal arts division something besides the life of the mind is being nourished. In these environs, UC Santa Cruz is beyond any doubt the most radical university in the United States, its curricula anything but academic.

THE MORNING WILL COME WHEN THE WORLD IS MINE
So, “the real agenda was not improving American public education academically but changing it from a system that taught young Americans basic skills and imparted essential cultural knowledge, to a system of training youngsters to serve the state in whatever capacity the government thought necessary.” The Duke lacrosse team fiasco shows that liberal educators have created a phony cultural paradigm that distorts reality. And, nobody exploits phony paradigms, obfuscates the truth, or games the system like the Clintons.
TOMORROW BELONGS TO ME
Set the Wayback Machine for 23 August 1995: a hot day in the nation’s capitol. But 3000 miles due west on the California Coast, a constellation of events was unfolding that would have a cataclysmic effect. Bill Clinton picked up the telephone. It was his Chief of Staff Leon Panetta, calling from a payphone in Monterey. Bill held the receiver at arms length and gazed at the tasteful floral arrangement that adorned the Oval Office. Leon’s disembodied voice filled the room. What now, asked Hillary. It’s that damn college, mouthed Bill. Hillary nodded; just tell Leon he’ll get whatever he needs. There was, no getting out: http://theseedsof9-11.com

Having listened to David Horowitz lecture on the “brainwashing and mind control being used in college classrooms” by liberal professors and instructors, I hesitate to send my son to college. Any time a college hires someone to teach a core course and they are allowed to turn it into a political propoganda session in which students who voice disagreement face punishment, well… what value is brainwashing in place of education???? I have told my son I will only pay for college if it is a Christian institution for this reason.

Beware: even Christian institutions have been infested by the liberal indoctrination centers…they’re also producing the text books. I just read today that Pat Schroeder - the one who complained about sexual harrassment at Tailhook and turned it around saying that the only way women are going to get respect from men is to be exposed to combat (what?)-
Is now the CEO and President of the Association of American Publishers…an outfit that is making recommendations to Congress about the textbooks that are introduced into our schools.
A feminist, a leftist, and someone who supports the idea of frequently “updating” or what I think of as ‘editing’ history, historical fact, and introduces social engineering like feminism and the like.
I am so pissed about all of this I can hardly see straight.

What ever happened to the college classroom goal of teaching young minds to think independently based on gathering facts, and reaching their own conclusions????

Maybe it’s time for Americans to say — “Enough is Enough” … let the Marines and Special Forces do what they’ve been trained to do — GET RID OF THE INSURGENTS; INFIDELS AND THOSE WHO THREATEN OUR COUNTRY.
If I were President, I’d bring all of the Troops home; piss on the foreign countries (let them fight their own damn battles) -
- and do what we have to do to get rid of not only the Mexican Illegals; but also the rest of the Illegal Foreigners; Russian Mafia; etc … and return America to AMERICA!
I’m all for the Native Americans to get highly pissed off; give them 1000’s of Horses, along with millions of Bows and Arrows and simple tell them — GO KILL ANY NON-AMERICANS; INSURGENTS; ILLEGALS; ETC. — IF YOU WANT TO TAKE SCALPS; THEN, SO BE IT!
Am I a pissed off NATIVE-BORN AMERICAN???
Well — what the hell do you Twinkle-toed Communists think???
KISS MY A$$ AND LEAVE “MY COUNTRY” — you might be facing down an “Army” of pissed off AMERICAN INDIANS WITH ARROWS — if you’ve never been up against a pissed off Indian when he / she is drunk — you might as well try to butt-**** a Mountain Lion in a phone booth!

Your title implies there is such a thing as a school that’s NOT bad. There’s not. Government can only screw up education. Any school that has government involved (which is all of them) stinks, plain and simple. I SO wish we’d get more people running on the campaign to eliminate the federal dept of education.

Just was listening to Laura Ingram’s radio show and a guy called in that had just gone to a Barnes and Nobel bookstore in Fenton, MO to buy her book “Power to the People” and they still had it in the back of the store, under a counter. When he said he was glad to be getting one of the first copies as he thought they would sell out fast, the frumpy clerk told him “I doubt that” and proceeded to stock the books on a lower shelf “in the back of the store”!!! So now Laura is enlisting the aid of a listener and a cell phone to go in and ask the clerk who appointed her a “book review expert”??? Should be funny, but alas… break time is over so I can’t listen to it play out! The book is for anyone who wants to know how to go about taking this country back from the nightmare it is becoming. She was talking about stopping the liberal brainwashing going on in our schools as a starting point.
Sounds interesting so I may just buy it.
