Columbia University Dean: We would invite Hitler
There has been some outrage expressed about Imadinnerjacket requesting a visit to Ground Zero to place a wreath in memorial to the terrorists. Since he was in town, I have no doubt Columbia University would be interested in his visiting with them. Since Hitler was a socialist and Universities and wackademics are off the charts leftist/socialist/communist, it should come as absolutely no surprise that the Columbia University Dean said they would invite Hitler to speak, and I can’t think of any fascist closer to Hitler’s ideology than the holocaust denier, Ahmadinejad.
On the other hand, there goes their Bush=Hitler analogy; completely out the window.

Historically speaking, this isn’t off the charts weird, Columbia University is just living up to its age-old tradition of catering to socialist wacknuts. They did, in fact invite Hitler to speak there in 1933.
But then…the 1938 Better Homes and Garden Issue published a whole spread showing pictures of “Hitler’s Mountain Home”. A few of those pages are available for viewing here and here.

Hitlerino would be the right nickname, not Hitler.

How about Hitlery. They’d have her there in a second. lol
Ideologically speaking, you’re incorrect, although he does look like an Italian mobster there. Like a guy off the Sopranos.

Prior to Pearl Harbor being attacked, Hitler wasn’t looked on as a monster by many people in the United States. Many Americans, including politicians, wanted the US to alley with Germany. That’s one of the reason for our neutrality up until the time we were attacked. FDR knew we needed to be in the war and was supplying Great Britain but it took Japan to fire up and open the eyes of the American Public.

That’s why Joe Kennedy, a leftist Jew-hater and Hitler sympathizer, tried to convince FDR that it wasn’t worth going to war.
Just like today’s left…lol…history does, unfortunately, have a tendency to repeat itself.

Yep; History repeats itself, no matter what the subject or circumstance!

Yesterday I stayed home due to a job interview at 1:00 pm so I called President Bollenger’s office to voice my dismay at allowing this to even happen. I never called the office of a college president before, let alone an Ivy League school, but it was quite an experience. I had an intelligent exchange with the secretary, voiced my feelings about it and felt a little better afterward. LOL!!! I will give Bollenger this much, he at least laid into him from the start… poor baby was insulted and the student’s present jeered and laughed at him on his ignorant statements. Doesn’t change the fact that he should not have been there… but… I have to wonder how much flak he will take when he gets back to Iran over letting a college in the West “insult him”. We can only hope for the best, eh! What a jacka$$.
