Nailah Franklin turned up dead

Apparently she was a young professional pharamaceutical sales rep for Eli Lilly. She was only 28 years old. She was out to dinner the last time her family talked with her, on Tuesday, September 18th. Although they’d known all of her previous boyfriends, they hadn’t yet met the current one. Apparently they have located the guy, and he had an attorney with him when he was questioned.

He had threatened her about a week before she disappeared.

Look at this beautiful woman; she looked like a movie star. God bless her and her family and I hope they find who did this.

Her body was found in Hammond Indiana not far from where they recovered her car; so badly decomposed they had to identify her through dental records.

More in the Chicago Trib article here, dated today.

And background at the Crime blog, here.

Rest in Peace Nailah, and may your killer be brought to justice and never see the light of day again.

I’m greatly disturbed that they haven’t been able to establish a cause of death in this case…

I heard her body (in that short of time) was so badly decomposed that they had to identify her through dental records! That seems weird to me as well. No. Indiana tends to be cooler this time of year than central because of the Lake, and I wasn’t aware that in that short of time a body could decompose that much. Then the last communication to the family was she was having dinner and would see them later… they said the email didn’t sound like her or sounded strange. I have to wonder if someone else sent it after she was already dead to gain more time to cover their tracks?
Whoever did this needs to see the full measure of justice. This young lady had a fantastic life ahead of her.

You said it. I hope they have enough forensic evidence…

I’ll shed more light on this during the week-end, from an LEO perspective.
