Is only making people mad. Most of what they do doesn’t really have the desired effect, although it IS getting Medea Benjamin appearances on tv and elsewhere.

This is an example of how they ’support the troops’…They support the troops by harrassing a military recruitment office, promising that they’d be back on the weekends and during the week, every week until the office is shut down. But this is to be expected in a heavily moonbat-infested area like Berkley; that’s where Stephen Pearcy lives.

The Left’s war on the military at home

Code Pink instructs its members on how to harass and shut down military recruitment offices. One of the tactics it prescribes involves having members schedule meetings with recruitment officers under the pretense of being potential recruits and then showing up for the meetings with groups of rowdy anti-military protesters. Protesters are urged to block doors, directly harass recruiters and stage “die ins” in front of recruitment centers. Code Pink’s website displays a deep animosity towards military recruiters, referring to them as “warmongers and liars.”

Capt. Richard Lund, is the recruiter who was on the receiving end of this attack. He wrote an open letter to Berkeley at the Berkeley Daily Planet:

While the protest that you staged in front of my office on Wednesday, Sept. 26th, was an exercise of your constitutional rights, the messages that you left behind were insulting, untrue, and ultimately misdirected. Additionally, from the comments quoted in the Berkeley Daily Planet article, it is clear that you have no idea what it is that I do here. Given that I was unaware of your planned protest, I was unable to contest your claims in person, so I will therefore address them here.

Is this really ’supporting the troops?’ I’d like to see the media show THAT picture and pictures that reveal who these people are…but that will never happen; some from hollywonk and in the media are actually marching with these wackjobs.

If that’s the way Code Pink really feels about it, it’s no wonder it took Casey Sheehan so long to get a headstone….but Cindy doesn’t miss any photo ops; she had a spread in Vanity Fair where she was laying on top of his grave.
