This is just appalling. Snatched from Jo’s clipmarks…I’ll trackback to her in a bit.

Members of the U.S. military have been vilified for their service and have faced criminal charges for battlefield decisions and congressional accusations of rampant “hate crimes.” Now a California post office also has banned photographs of local soldiers who are defending their country.

“It’s an emotional issue and people look at their post office as a hub of the community, but the post office is there to do postal business and it’s not a place to post things or make displays,” postal spokesman Richard Maher told the San Luis Obispo Tribune.

The newspaper reported that “a customer” had complained that the display, which over the years has featured dozens of photos of troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, including many whose relatives use the Paso Robles Post Office, was pro-war.

California is full of fruits and nuts! This kind of thing is just ridiculous!
The employees, and postmaster in particular, should be fired for exhibiting an anti-American attitude. They do work for a Government that is at WAR!
We should all write the postal service demanding heads roll at that post office!

I don’t believe I want to address this — other than, I wish alot of Vets would rush the station and let their voices be heard loud and clear as to the piss-ant whining crybabies that are FEDERAL GOV’T. EMPLOYEES — THEY WORK FOR US!!!

Knowing the reputation of the Telegam Tribune I strongly believe that it was probably one of their employees looking for one more article to estimulate their anti-war beliefs and sell newspapers to their liberal readers. The reality is that yes, we are at war, but what we need to understand is that we must offer support to the man and women that are out there serving our country so even imbeciles like that “customer” may continue to have the right of expressing his or her opinion. God Bless our troops!

Morning SemperFi and of course it can be a media ploy, but… It can’t hurt to send mail or emails to one’s Congressmen letting them know a Federal Office has no right to set this kind of precedent during time of war.

I remember reading during the Civil War they publicly posted much of the news including the wounded and dead after each battle and thinking how hard it must have been to ride into town to go get supplies and discover someone dear to you had perished in battle. People simply do not appreciate where this country and our military have been to earn the freedoms we all have. The official language of San Franciso would be Japanese had the Navy and Marines not taken the battle to the Japanese after Pearl and at such cost! And now they aren’t even allowed to film a recruitment commercial there! People who have never suffered like the brave men and women who serve just don’t get it and never will. [end of rant]

According to Michelle Malkin’s blog, sanity and the photo tribute in Paso Robles, CA has been Restored!!!

  6. Cao Says:

It will take a lot more than that to prove to me that ’sanity has been restored.’ Moonbats are protesting Nancy Pelosi’s place, and I’m certain there will be some weird response that we don’t expect to it. Because Pelosi is in sane.

  7. HoosierArmyMom Says:

I agree with you on that… I guess I jumped the gun using sanity and in the same sentence about a moonbat anti-reality event eh??? LOL!!!
