Bumped/Robert Spencer noticed Tancredo’s interest in the Flight 93 Memorial redesign

By: Cao, Filed under: Flight 93 , General @ 2:40 pm

And I think everyone should be interested: every terrorist memorializing feature from the original remains in the “redesign”.

At Dhimmi Watch, Robert Spencer 1 not only points to an interesting article on this at Worldnet Daily that mentions Tom Burnett, Sr.’s very good points, 2 but also that the Memorial Project spokesman is doing a lot of whining in the Pittsburgh Tribune Review. 3

So I thought I’d check that out.

Joanne Hanley, memorial superintendent, said the park service won’t comment on Tancredo’s letter because it has not yet been received.

Hanley did reiterate what she has said all along about the design controversy — that people are seeing things that aren’t really there.

Oh. Really? Is this a case of ’seeing things that aren’t really there’???

Bare naked crescent and star flag on the crash site

Joanne, do you need glasses?

“I think the only controversy is the one made by a very small but vocal group of conspiracy theorists,” Hanley said.

What a ridiculous statement. I’m finding what the defenders of Murdoch’s Terrorist Memorial Mosque are doing is making devastatingly stupid and transparent comments through the terrorist enabling media.

Let’s take a stroll down memory lane: these bloggers aren’t conspiracy theorists; but neither are the bloggers participating in the Stop the Memorial Blogburst. I think what’s happening is a growing voice, comprised of a growing number of informed people, who are taking a stand in opposition to seeing this project to completion.

Let’s start with Aaron Margolis-who was at the time, earning his Masters degree in architecture at the Boston Architectural Center. He wrote a great piece called ” The Politics of Architecture: The Flight 93 Memorial”. 4 A few excerpts:

Okay, so what does this all mean? I would contend that the attitude of “blame America first” is an attitude shared by liberals. It is members of the liberal fold who often contend that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter; even Cindy Sheehan is on the record as saying this. I will further surmise that Paul Murdoch’s commitment to sustainable design is a sign of his inclination towards the left of center, compounded by the fact that he works, and probably lives in the one of the “bluest” sections of California.

Still today, Murdoch is shielded, protected and defended by other people. He has never come out from behind his ‘curtain’. He has claimed that he talked with Alec Rawls, when in fact he hasn’t. He has laid layer upon layer of lies in defense of the design…all of which are completely transparent. He hasn’t appeared on radio shows or on television in defense of it, which I find rather peculiar, amongst many other things.

Understanding this, it becomes even more likely that the appearance of this crescent in the Flight 93 Memorial design was intentional based on socio-political inclinations of the design.

And this is obvious to people who aren’t students of architecture.

Being an architectural designer by trade, I [sic] knowing how the process of design works, and the implications of it. As architects, we are responsible for every single line (or arc) we draw–not only from a legal standpoint. A crescent shape, created out of Red Maple (Acer rubrum) trees that turn bright red in the fall, forming the red Islamic crescent, effectively during the season in which 9/11 occurred. Accident? No. Ideally speaking, everything is intentional with design. Plantings are not picked at random, this specific species was chosen for its color; perhaps even its timing.

And there were others:

Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs asked: “Is this a coincidence, an example of amazing cluelessness, or something more deliberate?” 5

Ed Morrissey at Captain’s Quarters said,
6 “Can you imagine the outcry from the multiculturalists and the ACLU had the design incorporated a cross or a Star of David in honor of the victims? Why should we tolerate the Crescent that, inadvertently or deliberately, honors the terrorists?

Bryan Preston:
7

“What next–a holocaust memorial in the shape of a swastika?”

Reader Jim K. at Michelle Malkin’s 8 wrote: “Looks like a memorial for the hijackers–not the victims! Incredible!”

the politburo diktat 2.0 10

I don’t get it. Why this shape? The designers had a blank slate. They could have designed anything. And they chose the symbol of the perpetrators. They essentially claim that the shape is a coincidence. That’s an absurd claim. Architects design things for a reason, with intent; every part of an architectural design serves a purpose.

Mark Coffey called it An Appalling Lack of Sensitivity 11

Flight 93, you may recall, crashed near Shanksville, PA on 9/11, on its way for a suicide run into Congress. You may also recall that the hijackers of the plane were radical Islamic terrorists. Naturally, then, the memorial for Flight 93 is in the shape of…an Islamic crescent.

Rusty Shackleford on the Memorial to the Religion of Peace 12

So, they want to shape the Flight 93 memorial like a crescent? Fitting. Why don’t we pour some salt on our wounds and buy an industrial sized barrel of KY while we’re at it? CDR Slamander has some more great ideas, like starting with flying a Nazi flag over the Holocaust Museum.…

AJ Strata: Crescent Of Death Over American Graves 13

I know what Al Qaeda will do with this. They will say it is a sign that fanatical Islam will win. They will say Allah placed his sign over those of the dead Americans who fought back as symbol of victory. They will use it to rally the forces of Jihad. They will use this as a rallying point against us. They will take a memorial that was supposed to honor our dead heroes and use it in such a manner that will mean we probably will have many more memorials to build in the future.

And in 2007, there are still a fair amount of people who are questioning this thing.

Gateway Pundit said in August that the Pennsylvania 9-11 Memorial Still Honors Hijackers 14

With last week’s final approval for the crescent design, the hijacker still has control of the cockpit.

A commenter at Gateway Pundit:

No matter how much embracing you’re going to do, these terrorist will never embrace us…that’s reality!

An Architect commented at Gateway Pundit, too:

As an architect, let me tell you that the sundial is probably the strongest proof. There is a long history of using sun angles/shadows in monumental architecture. My professional eye says that none of the specifics in this design are accidental- they are quite deliberate. It’s what architects do- refine a design down to the most minute detail so that the design philosophy is carried down to the last detail. You should be able to read the intent of the design from as far away as an airplane to as near as a foot. This design is evil genius, really.

If you don’t believe me, just google ’sundial’ and ‘architecture’.

That should go as a personal message to both Patrick White and John Reynolds, who are both on record, now, saying that you could see an Islamic Sundial in the Washington Monument; which is not only devastatingly stupid, but has been thoroughly debunked. 15 See “Lines of Faith-Prayer Times” on the geometric specificity of an Islamic sundial.

shadowclocklinesoffaith.bmp

See this, 16 on the same website, declaring that “Finding the Qibla and determining daily prayer times is also essential for the modern Muslim.”

No problem, it’s all figured out for the modern muslim in this Flight 93 memorial design to the hijackers:

sundialcomposite.jpg

You can see more on the geometric precision of Islamic sundials in this html 17 or in this pdf file. 18 This isn’t brain surgery; it’s easy to find this stuff.

Joanne Hanley and the terrorist sympathizers of the design simply aren’t seeing the obvious; but it doesn’t mean it’s not there.

There is a saying; that “A lie told often enough becomes truth”, attributed to Vladimir Lenin. They seem to be taking a page out of Lenin’s playbook, don’t they?

The design is so ‘in-your-face’ it would take a BLIND MAN not to see it.

Plant as many trees as you want to around a mosque, and it will still be a mosque…which is entirely true.

Little has changed in the redesign.

redesignthesame.jpg

And I’ve been looking at the open air mosque in Mecca and have seen some similarities between the open air mosque in Mecca and the proposed design for the Flight 93 memorial.

Now I’m not saying all of the elements that are in the Mecca design are in the Flight 93 design, but it gives me the creeps to think that as many muslims would fill that memorial as fill the mosque in mecca, giving tribute to the 19 terrorists of 9/11.

Tom Burnett, Sr., according to the Worldnet Daily article has written to Congress and newspapers condemning the design, but apparently few are listening to his concerns.

“It is unmistakably an Islamic symbol,” charged Burnett: “The red Crescent of Embrace” bastardizes what my son and others did on Flight 93.”

And he isn’t alone, because the jury voted 9-6 in favor of the Murdoch MOSQUE. It wasn’t 14-1.

“Waqf fi sabellillah” means “devoting a plot of land for Muslim religious purposes in the name of Allah.” 19

The Flight 93 Memorial as planned by architect Paul Murdoch, is a blatant act of Waqf fi sabellillah or Waqf fi sabeelillah and Jihâd fi sabeelillah,20 fighting in the path of Allâh. This American soil in Pennsylvania is literally being claimed by radical Islam.

Why are so concerned about what the planned memorial is going to look like when a plane didn’t even crash in Shanksville?

Why are you spreading lies of French Communists?

Taking a page out of Vladimir Lenin’s playbook, no doubt…“A lie told often enough becomes truth”

Sorry, but there were witnesses to the crash in addition to 8 miles of Boeing 757 debris, and the voice recorder was recovered there in addition to human remains. If we are supposed to believe that there was no airplane involved in Shanksville, then we must ignore reports from both witnesses on the ground and air traffic controllers of a passenger aircraft approaching the area at a fairly low altitude, including one private plane that had to steer completely out of its path while it was rocking at high speed downward.

We must also embrace the notion that a mysterious unnamed party covertly scattered explosive debris over a fifteen-square-mile patch of Pennsylvania, and that alll the area residents who reported recovering the debris are liars and/or government plants. And, of course, we must accept that all of the participants involved in the phone calls to their loved ones either do not actually exist or are also liars and/or plants.

Some of the debris recovered at the crash site was used in the Moussaoui trial.
