Donald Young, choir director, murdered
Teacher found slain in his South Shore apartment
Donald Young, 47, of the 2300 block of East 69th Street, was found unresponsive by police about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Young suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to an autopsy report. Police are investigating.
This is the same church where Barack Obama is a member.
Funeral services for Young have been set for 8 p.m. Thursday at Trinity United Church of Christ, 400 W. 95th St.
Update February 10, 2008: African-American Gay Community Scared Over Deaths
African-American gay and lesbian groups are talking about the murders of two openly gay Black men in the past month.
On November 17, 24-year-old Larry Bland was shot to death in his Englewood home. Bland, a security guard at Northwestern Hospital was shot more than once after struggling with a man who had entered the house through an unlocked basement door.
Then on December 23, 47-year-old Donald Young, the choir director at Trinity United Church of Christ, was shot multiple times in his South Side apartment. His roommate found his body.
How interesting. Obama’s church and openly gay men.

Mr Young sounds like he was a kind, talented individual. Whoever is responsible for his death will eventually pay a price. You know who you are. And -you will NEVER, EVER be president of the United States !

last month when i heard the news of Rev Wright’s new home being built with its generous line of credit, i posted this on numerous blogs:
“i find it sad the reward offered for information leading to an arrest is a mere $1,000. am i out of touch? has the amount been increased?
Donald Young was the beloved choir director at the Trinity United Church of Christ…the same church that has issued a $10 million line of credit on the new home of their retired Reverend Jeremiah Wright. my heart goes out to Donald’s family and friends.”
i posted it on Oprah’s message board as well with an additional line “Oprah, you were once a member of this church. Perhaps you were blessed, encouraged and/or inspired by his music? You are well-known for your kind spirit and generosity…”
it appeared…and then it was promptly removed. WHY?!

Someone affiliated with Obama killed this man. Hopefully, the truth will come out before this election is over.
