Some catchin’ up to do
The site’s been down for a little while, so I have some catching up to do.
Mostly, it’s been interesting taking in all the information…lacking substance…around our boy, Barack Hussein Obama.
We’ve had some interesting bunches of comments …particularly from a fellow calling himself ‘coming awakening’ who subscribed to comments…and then when he was getting updates, he took some time to put together a well-thought out and carefully worded email message to me:

How sweet. Fanmail from some flounder.
Before that, I’d discovered that ‘coming awakening’ is a middle-eastern-looking guy from New Jersey that makes videos on youtube with his shirt off, and has joined Murray in the insults, and fascist attack squad behavior.
It’s just striking me as interesting…
I also discovered that this billionaire Iraqi businessman attached to Rezko was affiliated with Saddam’s old regime…and that some of that money was given to Obama’s campaign.

Coincidence? Not if you think about his radical muslim support and the agreement Odinga signed with the muslims in Kenya! The picture is getting very interesting…both from being on the receiving end of the attacks, and from doing a little more investigating around the sphere.
Obama Shilled for Granny Grifter
The Illinois State Treasurer involved in alleged mortage fraud five years ago.
Mr. Giannoulias’ family bank the Broadway Bank in Chicago made a $1 million loan to an 83 year-old woman who could not fill out the loan form and who was brought to the bank by two felons and another person. One of those men had twice been convicted of bank fraud. Mr. Giannoulias admits that he knew that the felons were involved and that in his own words “I’m not sure it would be a prudent loan.” Well sure, the loan payments were $9,845 per month while the bank’s own loan documents show that Ms. Billings had an income of about $10,000 per month. So thats great, when he was working at the family bank he saw the collateral of property in the 1100 block of West Washington St., just west of the traditional Greektown. However when on the witness stand Mr. Giannoulias had a revelation, hey maybe $165 per month is not reasonable for an 83 year-old woman to live on.
I’m certain there will be more skeletons like these.
Also, listen to Hugh Hewitt’s deconstruction of a Michelle Obama speech using the same rhetoric as Barack does…the two Americas, and that her husband is going to heal your soul. Thought provoking, to say the least.
It’s interesting totalitarian language she’s using
Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.
Imagine the Founding Father’s reactions to a President who would “never allow you to go back to your lives as usual.” At least Germans had the excuse that their conditions were miserable during the Weimar days.
But…for the first time in her adult life, she’s proud that America’s willing to change into some other country. huh.
And now, we see his record which is sorely lacking:
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews: “You are a big Barack supporter, right, Senator?”
State Sen. Watson: “I am. Yes, I am.”
Matthews: “Well, name some of his legislative accomplishments. No, Senator, I want you to name some of Barack Obama’s legislative accomplishments tonight if you can.”
State Sen. Watson: “Well, you know, what I will talk about is more about what he is offering the American people right now.”
Matthews: “No. No. What has he accomplished, sir? You say you support him. Sir, you have to give me his accomplishments. You’ve supported him for president. You are on national television. Name his legislative accomplishments, Barack Obama, sir.”
State Sen. Watson: “Well, I’m not going to be able to name you specific items of legislative accomplishments.”
Matthews: “Can you name any? Can you name anything he’s accomplished as a Congressman?”
State Sen. Watson: “No, I’m not going to be able to do that tonight.”
Matthews: “Well, that is a problem isn’t it?”

Wow…when you stack it all up, it’s no wonder leftists are sending the book around called “the Power of Nice”. That’s what they think is going to change the world, apparently. Or what they’d have people believe will.
One guy I heard about forced his people to read it, and said if you aren’t “nice” you’re fired!
I was thinking…well…nice works in a world of sheep where there are no wolves.
Unfortunately the rest of us live in a world where wolves exist. Some of us didn’t go back to sleep after 9/11. “Nice” to these people means that there is no evil in the world, and Barack Obama can save your soul. And guys like ‘coming awakening’ and “murray” are stalking you for seeking the truth or having an opinion that doesn’t fall lockstep with their swoon-inducing leader with no record to speak of (except for supporting partial birth abortion and being extreme among extreme leftists)….whose whole platform is ‘hope’ and ‘change’.

Senators - all three of the ones running - don’t have the experience necessary to run for President. Having 38 staffers doesn’t compare with the responsibility of President. But you conveniently leave those out and focus on that one sentence…! I keep asking myself is it possible for someone like you to have made it to adulthood without having been hit by a bus or experienced some other sort of darwin award winning type accident from your breathtaking stupidity? You don’t understand sarcasm, you don’t understand humor, you don’t understand hyperbole and satire, which is what that one sentence was -in commenting on that Senator’s remarks.
Satire is holding up human vices and follies to ridicule or scorn.
A hyperbole is an evident exaggeration for the sake of emphasis.
* “He has a brain the size of a pea.”
* “I’m so hungry I could eat a horse.”
* “If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times.”
* “She is one-hundred feet tall.”
* “I nearly died laughing.”
You are so stupid you would say someone is lying when using hyperbole for emphasis as is used above.
By saying Obama has no accomplishments, I’m using exaggeration and hyperbole and laughing at the Senator’s not being able to come up with a single one in that interview. And as I’ve pointed out, the hysteria and hype over his image has others induced to fainting!!
You really ought to elevate your understand above High School. Then you might understand the nuances of rhetorical literary devices such as sarcasm, illiteration, and numerous others.

Thanks for the link on Obama’s support of the Granny Grifter. Obama is one of my Senators, I’ve been reading glowing praise of the guy in the local press for a decade and I have to say, the guy is an empty suit. Sure he has added his name to a plethora of bills but one of my problems with Obama is that he is clueless on Social Security. Last year I read a number of his speeches that touched on the subject and he doesn’t seem to understand that the SS Trust fund is a call on future taxation and that his SS tax grab would do nothing except give the government more money to spend today while slowing down the future growth that is needed to fund future obligations. I also suggest experiencing Obama’s speeches by reading them.

Thanks, El Rider; he’s my Senator, too. And back when he was running against Keyes, I was supporting Keyes. I couldn’t believe that he won that election…and all that happened that forced him into that position…thanks to Axelrod’s manuevers behind the scenes. I was surprised that Keyes took on the challenge, considering what happened to his predecessors.
One of the previous posts here was entitled “Axelrod paved the way for Obama”.
How can I run, meaty? I’m on my own blog. I know it’s hard for you, but try making some sense once in a while.
I won’t ever run from the likes of you….even when you call me names. You think the name-calling frightens me? It only points to your maturity level…or lack thereof.
And if my explanation doesn’t satisfy you…that doesn’t surprise me, it never does.

Uhhh, meaty, before you start crowing, you might want to check you civics book again. Co-sponsored generally means that someone thought someone else’s bill was good enough to add his name to the bill. Doesn’t mean that he had anything to do with writing it, or even getting it passed. Many bills are written by staffers in their entirety because Senator Whozo says “I need a bill on abc.” They put it together and the bill is introduced to the appropriate committee with Senator Whozo as the author. Now, Whozo knows that some powerful people won’t like his bill on abc because they are pushing for xyz. So, being the smart fellow that he is, Senztor Whozo asks obama to “co-sponsor” his bill and obama says “Sure Senator, and you WILL be voting for bill def won’t you?” (wink, wink).
Sad to say meaty,that is how things get done and co-sponsoring doesn’t mean what you have implied it means in the case of Barack Obama.

Cao and Roper seem to draw a distinction between co-sponsoring a bill and co-authoring it. It is not clear why. Do they believe that one would be an accomplishment, and the other would not?

You’re saying I’m a liar for saying he doesn’t have any…(which is an exaggeration; hyperbole). I’m saying his supporters can’t recall them - the focus groups and the Senator questioned by Chris Matthews, which is a fact. You ignore the facts and plow on.
You define showing up to do his job and cosponsoring a bill as an ‘accomplishment’.
So our definitions are different, and we should be able to respectfully agree to disagree.
But you live in a black-and-white world…literally–where ‘the audacity of hope’ inspires fainting women. Hope isn’t a strategy, and co-sponsoring a bill isn’t an accomplishment.
To me, it’s pretty clear…and I don’t mean any disrespect by saying that - Obama doesn’t seem to understand our system, either.
They’re all about changing our country into something else…just like you are.
So you don’t care how the system works.
If just doing your job is enough to make you presidential material, then - we should ALL be running for president. All of the Senators running have a thin record as far as I can see. There is nothing to brag on, which is why Obama’s supporters can’t think of anything memorable or noteworthy; there just isn’t anything…unless you google it and compile a list, as you obviously have done.
The list is not that impressive…so now we’re back to square one. He’s voted ‘present’ 130 times. Is that noteworthy? Yes, but it’s certainly not a positive. (I’m sure you don’t understand what that means, either :lol:.)
We have every right to question his qualifications…just as we should be questioning the others.
If Obama is relying on his speechwriter, David Axelrod and plagiarizing Spike Lee movies in his speeches, what besides the hype exactly qualifies him to be our next president?

Your definition of a ‘lie’ is kind of humorous.

What is funnier and funnier is how you’re so thick that you continue your moonbatty accusations even after they’ve been proven false.
There is a perception out there that Obama has no accomplishments….judging from the focus groups’ and the good Senator’s inability to answer the question about it. “Name one accomplishment”. They couldn’t. That’s not me saying he has no accomplishments, that’s the point that’s driven home when someone asks the question and they can’t answer it.
And it’s troubling when there is so much hysteria over this guy.
