In Is Obama the Messiah? by Jerry Corsi, at Worldnet Daily, several things troubling things are pointed out.

“Is this a messianic movement? A cult of personality? Or just good ol’ fashioned politics?” Those are the questions an Internet blog called “Is Barack Obama the Messiah?” began with one year ago.

By simply highlighting media reports since then – including WND’s account of an Obama rally in Seattle – the website has captured the wave of euphoria that has followed the Democratic senator’s remarkable rise to the brink of the party’s presidential nomination.

The site, laced with photos and magazine covers illustrating the theme, is topped by a Obama quote strategically ripped from a Jan. 7 speech at Dartmouth College just before the New Hampshire Primary in which he told students, “… a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote” for Obama.

This is incredibly chilling to me..the fact that any person-but especially a presidential candidate- would tout themself as a ’savior’. Who is he kidding? “a light will shine through the window, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize you must vote for Obama!” This makes me wonder if he never really DID stop smoking crack.

Writing in the American Thinker, consulting editor J.R. Dunn noted the tendency liberals have to see their leaders as transcendent beings, “someone more than human, someone with a touch of the divine.”

Examining how liberals tend to put Franklin Roosevelt and John Kennedy on a God-like pedestal, Dunn commented that for the American left, “Leaders don’t handle tasks, they lead movements, they embody the spirit of the age. They transform. Leaders, to put it simply, are fuehrers.”

His vicious followers punctuate that point:

Which has effected mine, apparently…because my blog also rates at that level!

While the sheep are blinded by Obama’s empty rhetoric.

AIM Identifies Mysterious Obama Mentor As Communist Party Revolutionary

WASHINGTON, February 19, 2008 — A mysterious friend and adviser to Barack Obama when he was growing up in Hawaii is identified in a new column by Accuracy in Media editor Cliff Kincaid as a member of the old Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA. “Obama’s communist connection adds to mounting public concern about a candidate who has come out of virtually nowhere, with a brief U.S. Senate legislative record, to become the Democratic Party frontrunner for the U.S. presidency,” Kincaid writes in the column, posted on the AIM web site www.aim.org

Obama’s mentor “Frank” is Frank Marshall Davis, who was publicly identified as a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just “Frank,” without a middle or last name.

Kincaid explains, “The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What’s more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several communist front organizations.”

Writes Rurik in an email to me: AIM recently disclosed that Obama has connections to the Democratic Socialists of America and that he sponsored a “Global Poverty Act” designed to send hundreds of billions of U.S. foreign aid to the rest of the world, in order to meet U.N. demands. The bill has passed the House and a Senate committee and awaits full Senate action.

As I said before….this is frightening…
