Phil Gramm quits as Co-Chair of McCain’s campaign
I wonder what the story is here.

ARLINGTON, VA — Today, former U.S. Senator Phil Gramm issued the following statement:
“It is clear to me that Democrats want to attack me rather than debate Senator McCain on important economic issues facing the country. That kind of distraction hurts not only Senator McCain’s ability to present concrete programs to deal with the country’s problems, it hurts the country. To end this distraction and get on with the real debate, I hereby step down as Co-Chair of the McCain Campaign and join the growing number of rank-and-file McCain supporters.”
I don’t really follow what’ happening with the McCain campaign because I think he’s a less-than-ideal candidate, but Malkin says he was either thrown off the McCain campaign’s bus, or pushed off of it.
It’s distracting when someone uses that ‘distraction’ rhetoric. What does that really mean–he can’t take the heat?
People need to realize the tactics that the democratic socialists of today use; it’s personal attacks and ’shoot the messenger’ - not debating facts.

Why am I not the least bit surprised that I’m going in moderation? Because this is EXACTLY what larry does any time someone doesn’t agree with him in every point he makes. You want to know the great thing about M&N? (You should learn a lesson here) They don’t stifle any dissent. They even post a lot of the nasty mail that Larry’s kids send him. If you don’t agree, as long as you’re polite about it - they let you say your piece. Obviously can’t say as much about you. Fine with me, go back to having 0-2 comments on your posts. Feel free to email me your response at the above address, it is a working email. The one reason I started comment here is that you’re the only larry supporter who doesn’t copy/paste his diatribes verbatim, you actually have input and ask questions. And for a minute you allowed dissenting opinions and even replied to them! I added you to my rss feed because I actually looked forward to seeing your response and carying on a debate.

I sincerely doubt it.
You bait people and beat them up with ridicule and expect them to keep on taking it; otherwise they’re not ‘tolerant’.
Sorry, but I don’t have time for your nonsense and I don’t have to be tolerant of stupidity.
You people are all about testing someone’s patience.
Mine is short. As I already said in this post at the end - you’re about ’shooting the messenger’ and not debating facts.
Facts don’t matter to leftists, so there is no reason to ‘debate’ other than to sit still for abuse. Which I will not do.
