Flight 93 Memorial Meeting August 2nd
The clarion call has been sounded; if you can possibly make it to Somerset Pennsylvania to voice your opposition to the construction of the Flight 93 Memorial as planned, please do.
See the post I put up at Free Republic, referring to AJStrata’s call to get people to Pennsylvania on August 2nd.
If you are within weekend traveling distance, please consider joining Tom Burnett Sr. in Somerset PA on August 2nd. If you get there early enough for the Memorial Project’s public meeting (10AM-1PM) you can sign up to speak. We will rally in the afternoon on Saturday, and visit the crash-site Sunday.
We are hoping to get a significant number of people there.
Because of time constraints and the expense of the trip from Illinois, I’m not sure if I’ll be there at this point. When I was trying to shop fares, there were no specifics around when and where; and I need to plan those things in advance to take advantage of discounted airfare rates.
I’ll still be investigating this; but it feels late in the game for me to pony up $1,000 for airfare, lodging, food, and miscellaneous. Most certainly a trip to the memorial site would be in order; Alec Rawls is investigating opening up the second parking lot that is usually closed in order to accommodate more vehicles, since the other parking lot is rather small.
But I understand Pam Geller from Atlas Shrugs plans on being there, and should be bringing a contingent along with her.
Here’s Pam’s post on thie meeting in Pensylvania on August 2nd.
