The EPA’s nanomanagement

As per Moonbattery, here, from the Wallstreet Journal, the Gorical made an amazing statement - that “our very way of life” is in danger if we don’t end the “carbon age” within the next 10 years. Now think about that one. CO2 is a byproduct of rotting vegetation; and it is not the precursor to warming, it FOLLOWS warming. In addition to the simple fact that all mammals exhale CO2, and plants eat it up - there is a beautiful symbiotic relationship in the environment between animal living things and vegetable living things; for plants, CO2 makes them grow, and it’s used in agriculture to increase crop yields.

Yet, the Supreme Court ruled that greenhouse gases - like water vapor - air ‘air pollutants’ and can be regulated. And so the EPA has decided it wants to leverage that.

In a huge document released last Friday, the EPA lays out the thousands of carbon controls with which they’d like to shackle the whole economy. Central planning is too artful a term for the EPA’s nanomanagement.

    Gore did drop the phrase “the carbon age” into his address — a topic that I have given an enormous amount of thought to. Last week in fact my book of that title, The Carbon Age, came out, the result of four years of reading thousands of journal articles, interviewing hundreds of people, and reading many, many books. Can’t say when said age will end, but I’ve spent an enormous amount of time describing what our carbon age is.

    I’m a former reporter for Time magazine. The book emerged from my conclusion that “carbon” — in climate, energy, what to eat (or avoid), aerospace, sporting goods — is the most important word people know the least about. Drop me a line if you have any questions or want to chat.

    How ridiculous. I should refer you to Van Helsing at Moonbattery.com. Maybe he’d like to do an interview with you along with someone like Lord Monckton or the guy from JunkScience.com.

    If I’m to understand it correctly, you read a bunch of propaganda in order to produce more propaganda in favor of ‘warming’ and why we should be askeered.

    I’m not interested in discussing that!

    Justice Antonin Scalia noted in his dissent that under the Court’s “pollutant” standard “everything airborne, from Frisbees to flatulence, qualifies,” which the EPA appears to have taken literally. It is alarmed by “enteric fermentation in domestic livestock” — that is, er, their “emissions.” A farm with over 25 cows would exceed the EPA’s proposed carbon limits. So would 500 acres of crops, due to harvesting and processing machinery.
