blind moonbattery on McCain, Reform Institute, Iraq, etc.

By: Cao, Filed under: Administration & 3 Branches , Bush , General , Obama , Terrorism and Islam @ 4:00 pm

This was the result of an interesting exchange in comments on - of all places - a post about how I have Obama fatigue. I’m sick of the Obama; and I’m sick of the idiots who support him - I’m sick of the ‘no smears’ site that says being called a muslim is a smear, I’m sick of the smears website that doesn’t acknowledge Larry Sinclair as a smear (so that must mean his allegations are true), and the vicious tactics of Obama’s communist bloggers, such as targeting anti-Obama blogs on blogspot as spam, and their utter and complete naiivete and ignorance of history. Notice how they change the context of the argument when they’re losing. Look! Look! Over there! It’s a magician’s sleight of hand move. (Image shamelessly lifted from Michelle Malkin’s book cover, of the same name.) unhinged.png

You asserted a McCain/Soros connection. It is therefore YOUR responsibility to back it up and you didn’t do a very good job of it. One of your links wasn’t even relevant.

Sorry. I don’t allow people to tell me what I’m responsible for on my blog. I’m responsible for myself, not for you or your feckless idea of political debate - which means you want to be spoonfed the answers so you can spit them out and blame the babyfood company because you don’t like your spinach.

I have backed it up. You mustn’t fathom how much McCain/Feingold helped George Soros in his crusade against America. If you don’t recognize that, it’s not my problem, even though you’re trying to make me repsonsible for your inability to factcheck. I think it’s interesting that you want to be led around by the nose instead of apply critical thinking skills.

Which link wasn’t relevant? Interesting how you’re entitled to post irrelevant garbage in your comments, but still haven’t posted a single link or fact to back up your overly dramatic sweeping generalizations. You can go to any number of sources to verify my claims; it’s not up to me to convince you (even though I’ve cited my sources - you don’t!); if you’re going to call me a liar; prove it. If you say something isn’t relevant simply because of the source, I find that amusing. But it doesn’t make it true.

It means you’re a typical Obama-type blognazi who shoots the messenger because he doesn’t like the message. Yet, you somehow fail to make a point in all of that.

Don’t make a sweeping generalization like that without citing facts - otherwise I’ll consider your entire comment irrelevant. Not to mention STUPID. I am interested in facts; not hyperbole.

Fact: McCain set up the Reform Institute in 2001.1
Fact: The July 6, 2001, homepage of the Reform Institute archived on the Internet lists founder McCain as chairman of the group’s advisory committee.2
Fact: Financial contributors while McCain was chairman of the Reform Institute also have included the Educational Foundation of America, a group that supports abortion and opposes drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve.3
Fact: The Reform Institute has received funding from Soros’ Open Society Institute and Teresa Heinz Kerry’s Tides Foundation.4
Fact: Juan Hernandez, working in the capacity of Hispanic Outreach for McCain’s campaign,5 is a senior fellow at the Reform Institute. 6
Fact: Hernandez serves as a non-paid volunteer for the McCain campaign.7 This means McCain’s campaign doesn’t have to pay them; and there are more people who work for the McCain campaign that also work (and get paid) by and for the Reform Institute. This means that McCain doesn’t have to fundraise to pay some of his campaign employees. Now really think about that.
Fact: McCain’s name is on the McCain/Feingold 8 bill that benefited Soros and limited political speech in ads and restricted those who could broadcast them at election time. 9 10
Fact: Arianna Huffington, of Huffington Post fame has served on the Reform Institute’s advisory committee since the group’s inception.11
Fact: The Soros-Kerry funding connection with McCain was exposed by Ed Morrissey at Captains Quarters in 2005. 12
Fact: The Soros-Kerry connection was further exposed by Discover the Networks 13, Frontpage Magazine,14 Michelle Malkin, 15 even the Reform Institute itself.16
Fact: In 2006, McCain was forced to sever his formal ties with the Reform Institute after a controversial $200,000 contribution from Cablevision came to light. McCain solicited the donation for the Reform Institute using his membership on the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. 17 In a letter to the Federal Communications Commission, he supported Cablevision’s push to introduce the more profitable al la carte pricing, rather than packages of TV programming. (Jerry Corsi) 18
Fact: You deny the facts because of partisan bias. I’m sorry, but they are facts; not opinions.19

Prove any of those facts wrong. Because you are unable to connect the dots doesn’t mean I have to do a thing about it except feel sorry for you and your disconnect with reality.

If you need me to document something in particular, I’ll try. but at least let me know what you’re disputing.

Trying isn’t good enough, and I’m losing my patience with you.

I dispute your claim that the Soros/McCain connection I’m talking about is false simply because of the sources that I’ve provided when you don’t provide any sources to your garbage, but I’m supposed to believe YOU simply because you said it. Who are you. God?

You aren’t anything at all in my world, and you’re getting smaller by the moment.

Prove the facts wrong and cite your sources, otherwise - shut the hell up. (I have to wonder about your ability to reason at this point.)

The President claims we’re fighting terrorists/terrorism in Iraq.

It’s rather oversimplistic to imply that everything is President Bush’s fault in this scenario. It isn’t only the president who makes those claims about Iraq being the current front on the global war on terrorism, it’s Al Qaeda, bin Laden, Zawahiri, etc.-who believe ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend,’ who’ve teamed up with the socialists.20 That’s why they’ve joined up with the left. In Bin Laden’s own words, there will be no harm if the interests of Muslims converge with the interests of the socialists in the fight against the crusaders, 21

Which is why Obama, the guy who wants to put the world on American welfare via his Global Poverty Act 22 through legislated theft of my money (tax dollars) and yours - has said if things get tough, he will side with the muslims. And he would gladly meet with Imadinnerjacket and other leaders of terrorist states with no preconditions. That is a prescription for disaster if ever I’ve heard it.

You seem to think that terrorist attacks should only considered if they cause American casualties and you discount the ramifications of nazi states springing up like weeds in the middle east. That will easily happen if they think it can go on unchecked. It will be interesting to see if Obama becomes president, what will happen in that situation, when the muslims think he is one of them.

Unfortunately we are not and cannot be isolationists if we want to save ourselves; we are involved with the United Nations and are funding it to a tremendous degree; so much, in fact, that the rationale for the Iraq war was based on Saddam’s violating UN Sanctions.23 Consider that world terrorism - and not one but numerous terrorist supporting states worse than Nazi Germany rising in the middle east with no interference from us; and then consider how dangerous a world it would be for us then. It is in our best interest to fight Islamofascism wherever it is, and send a message to the America-haters here and abroad that we will not stand for the head hacking nonsense. (Which they say is commanded by Allah - from the Koran, in case you haven’t noticed)

We have no choice in this matter. Islamic terrorism is just a descendant of Nazism; that’s why the mufti met with Hitler and there was an entirely muslim branch of the SS. 24 And if you’re not familiar with that history, I feel sorry for you. Google it.

If that’s the case, then more people have died from terrorism in his war than all of the other terrorist incidents targeting Americans under the first 42 Presidents (previous incidents of course include: the cole bombing, Embassy bombings, including the beirut bombing that killed 240+ marines and which promptly caused Reagan to ‘cut-and-run’, miscellaneous other incidents, none of which even came close to killing the #’s of people that were killed on 9/11. Please feel free to add any I’m forgetting and you should also keep in mind that not only did 9/11 happen on bush’s watch, he didn’t do anything in the 8 months before to avenge the Cole bombing, either. AND he took a 5 week vacation before 9/11, in spite of receiving a warning that bin Laden was planning an attack. Most people would consider that incompetent.

WOW. Is that something you memorized, or what? So we’re supposed to wait for them to kill ENOUGH people? How many is ENOUGH? Watching Nick Berg get his head sawed off wasn’t enough for you? Listening to the cries of the other victims of the horrible beheadings on tape wasn’t enough for you, either? Knowing what Saddam did to his own people wasn’t enough? The mass graves of Iraqis that were uncovered after we invaded Iraq didn’t effect you in any way? (Oh no problem, those were his own people! - I seem to hear you saying there.) I would consider the numbers of people who’ve been tortured and who died horribly under Saddam’s regime were victims of terrorism - just as much as Nick Berg was. Saddam waged a horrible 2-year beheading of women campaign 25- where women’s heads were displayed on spikes outside their homes. These stories and more sure got MY attention, and made me feel good about deposing Saddam Hussein. I also had an immense sense of satisfaction when they rousted him out of that spiderhole. His dead baby parades 26 sure got my attention. So, in essence, I think your numbers are way off. And you have no compassion whatsoever for the Iraqis who had to suffer under that regime, which shows me you have a detached sense of reality and compassion.

More people have died under communist regimes than in every single conflict that the US has ever been involved in; and the communists have teamed up with the Islamofascists, so your point is moot. They want totalitarianism and are selling it in any way they can; and people are falling for this ‘religion of peace’ crap, while the Saudis are constructing Bin Laden-style wahhabi mosques throughout the US. 27

As I mentioned previously, 9/11 happened under Bush’s watch, but only after he’d been in the office 6 months and Clinton set it up - so that the results from Able Danger 28 29 couldn’t be communicated. If you don’t know what that is, get educated. There was a wall between the intelligence agencies which made it more difficult to even find out about real live threats; not to mention -you have to wonder what was in the documents that Sandy Berger stuffed down his pants. As long as you’re at it you forgot the Oklahoma bombing, which Clinton set up as a reason to demonize conservatives. Nevermind that there was a cadre of faceless nameless perpetrators who hightailed it back to Iraq who were members of Saddam’s mukhabarat. (See Jayna Davis -and/or her book, The Third Terrorist) 30

I notice how you don’t mention all the innocent muslims terrorists have killed, either. Terrorism is a worldwide problem. Muslims Against Sharia31 aka MASH has pointed out to me on numerous occasions they are against terrorism - not only because they’re killing, maiming and beheading infidels, but because they kill their own. Radical muslims murder their own people, are against women’s rights, commit crimes such as honor killings, 32 –and are transplanting that here to the US because they have no respect for US Laws. You will notice that as a muslim population increases, they lobby to live under sharia law. 33 And since you’re not aware of it, it should be pointed out that - bringing sharia law to the world - bringing submission to sharia law to the world - is their goal. Their goal is world domination. “Understanding why they hate us”, or sensitivity training –are not going to eliminate that fact. They’ve been raised since they were babies to hate America, hate Americans, and to accept the fact that they will get eternal paradise if they kill themselves for Allah. 34 And they’ll get more perks if they do that and take some infidels along with them.

How many religions in the world demand that you kill yourself and murder others and take over the world? I don’t know of any except for Islam. They hold a knife in one hand, and the Koran in the other. This makes it very difficult to believe that Islam is a ‘religion of peace’.

You are more than a little bit delusional, and I have to wonder where it is you get your information - since you REFUSE TO CITE. The President has also said that Iraq is just one front on many fronts in this war, which is true. But that entire paragraph you have there is a huge pile of incoherent gobblety gook.

‘more people have died from terrorism in his war’ - this isn’t ‘his’ war; this is our war and it’s the democrats’ war. You forget that they voted for it before they voted against it. ‘than all of the other terrorist incidents targeting Americans under the first 42 presidents’. WOW. Pretty amazing generalization you have there.

Citations please. Where do you get that garbage? Meanwhile, they’ve been trying to get our attention - since the gates of Vienna and before the Crusades. 700 years of bloody Islamic conquest preceeded the crusades.

This is just a part of a very old war and your assumptions are incorrect.

Don’t forget…cite, cite, cite, or shut up. I don’t like Barry Manilow’s song “feelings”.

Islamic terrorism since 1968

We’ve lost more people in Iraq and will have spent more than $2 Trillion by the time this war is done. How then, would Iraq, a war against ‘terrorists’, be considered a ’success’? You sound just like bin Laden, who probably also views our rudderless occupation of Iraq as a success. He successfully turned much of the world against us, including those who we’re ostensibly there to help, as evidenced by the Iraqis saying that a timetable for withdrawal suits them fine.

No citation=more ‘feelings’ garbage. The WoT will be fought over generations. The Arabs know this, and have been committed to it for an incredibly long time. If they weren’t committed to it, that would mean what it says in the Koran is a lie. They are very much committed to world domination. And because you’re unwilling to recognize that fact, you’re promoting the idea that it’s a lost cause, that it’s too expensive, and that too many American lives have been lost. It’s too expensive, you say.

If the high number is correct, then the Iraq war will have cost as much as World War II, in inflation-adjusted dollars. 35 Keep in mind, though, that WWII cost twice as much as the nation’s total gross domestic product in the 1940s, while Iraq would be the equivalent of maybe a quarter of the modern U.S. economy. And as a pure matter of economic and scenario planning, this all strikes me as a bit simplistic, anyway.

1) It should be tough for anyone to take seriously the financial concerns of politicians—of either party—who are doing nothing about the $2 trillion in additional long-term liabilities (that is the number former U.S. Comptroller General David Walker cited to me last week) that Medicare and Social Security are racking up every additional year that no action is taken. (”Neither party is too good at math,” Walker joked.) By my back-of-the envelope calculation, the cost of doing nothing on these issues during the span since we invaded and liberated Iraq works out to some $10 trillion.

2) Any decent cost-benefit analysis would examine not only the current situation but also the potential costs of other scenarios. That’s what professional scenario planners at companies like Shell do. A continued policy of containment would probably have big costs as well.

Indeed, a 2006 study from three economists at the University of Chicago’s business school concluded just that. It looked at the costs of everything from compelling Iraqi compliance with a rigorous process of weapons inspections and disarmament to an eventual regime-changing war with Iraq in the future. Factoring in all those contingencies, the authors find that a containment policy would cost anywhere from $350 billion to $700 billon. 36

So saving our way of life, our culture, is too expensive, throwing away even more obscene amounts of our money on socialist garbage programs is perfectly okay with you, heh? Amazing.

Regarding the impending take over of America by ‘Islamo-fascists’…

How exactly are Muslims going to take over a largely Christian country that is separated from them by the Atlantic (and Pacific) oceans? No Muslim country has an Air Force, Navy or Army even remotely capable of taking the so-called American ‘homeland’. They would have to somehow get around all of our military bases between us & them and then invade the most heavily armed country on earth - and subjugate us. That is pure fantasy.

Radical Islam and sharia will take over in a largely Christian country-precisely the way they’ve done it in other countries. 37 Britain, as an example, is much further along in this. So is France. I notice that today academics like R. Kevin Jaques38 write papers about how we should have just submitted to sharia law as a result of 9/11. (Jaques is a scholar of sharia at a university in Indiana). But there are growing numbers of people who hold these sentiments. And they’re Americans - not middle eastern transplants.

Follow the numbers and take note how Islam encroaches on- and then cannibalizes a country. Jihad By the Numbers 39

Here is where it becomes interesting. Note throughout the exponential scale of Islamic influence as the percentage of Muslim population per country increases. Comments in square brackets are my corrective interjections. (Edward Cline)

United States: 1.0
Australia: 1.5
Canada: 1.9
China: 1.0-2.0
Italy: 1.5
Norway: 1.8

“At 2% and 3% they [Muslims] begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs.”

Denmark: 2.0
Germany: 3.7
United Kingdom: 2.7
Spain: 4.0
Italy: 4.6

“From 5% on they [Muslims] exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (”clean” by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves - along with threats for failure to comply (United States).”

France: 8.0
Philippines: 5.0
Sweden: 5.0
Switzerland: 4.3
The Netherlands: 5.5
Trinidad & Tobago: 5.8

“At this point, they [Muslims] will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, or Islamic law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

“When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions; (Paris riots, killings, - hundreds of cars burned).

Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats; (Amsterdam, Denmark - Mohammed cartoons, murder of Theo van Gogh).”

Guyana: 10.0
India: 13.4
Israel: 16.0
Kenya: 10.0
Russia: 10.0-15.0

The one anomaly in this set of statistics is Israel, which has not experienced uprisings and threats of violence yet. Its Arab or Muslim population enjoys equal political rights with Jewish Israelis. The suicide bombings and rocket attacks that have killed hundreds have been perpetrated mainly by outsiders.

“After reaching 20% [of a population] expect hair-trigger rioting, Jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

Ethiopia: 32.8
“After 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia and Muslim terrorist warfare:”
Bosnia: 40.0
Chad: 53.1
Lebanon: 59.7

“From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on [conquered] infidels:”

Albania: 70.0
Malaysia: 60.4
Qatar: 77.5
Sudan: 70.0

“After 80%, expect state-run ethnic cleansing and genocide:”

Bangladesh: 83.0
Egypt: 90.0
Gaza: 98.7
Indonesia: 86.1
Iran: 98.0
Iraq: 97.0
Jordan: 92.0
Morocco: 98.7
Pakistan: 97.0
Palestine: 99.0
Syria: 90.0
Tajikistan: 90.0
Turkey: 99.8
United Arab Emirates: 96.0

I question the inclusion of “Palestine” in this set. “Palestine” simply means space occupied by stateless “Palestinians” in Gaza and the West Bank, and is the name of the state which Islamists wish to replace Israel, once it is destroyed. Turkey, after decades of having a secular, non-religious government, is beginning to turn “religious,” and seems to be yearning for the kind of Muslim government that cleansed the country in 1915 of non-Muslim Armenians in a genocide that predates theNazi Holocaust.

“100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ - the Islamic House of Peace’ [more correctly, dar-al-Islam, or Land of Islam]. There is supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim.”:

Afghanistan: 100.0
Saudi Arabia: 100.0
Somalia: 100.0
Yemen: 99.9

“Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.

“‘Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel.’ - Leon Uris, The Haj.

“It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France, the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average[s] would indicate.

“Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond’s book, Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat.” 40

Hammond’s book is sponsored by the Frontline Fellowship, a Christian organization, and the book itself was published by Christian Liberty Books. The Frontline website contains several endorsements of the book by clerics and missionaries. The quoted paragraphs above were “adapted” from Hammond’s book (by whom, is unknown), and not very professionally. The statistics themselves were compiled by theCIA and used in the book.

For a detailed exposé of Islam’s Marxist affiliation - as distinguished from its symbiosis with Nazism - see Daniel Pipes’ “[The Islamist-Leftist] Allied Menace,” of July 15th.41 42

So, regardless of the book’s Christian orientation, the statistics Hammond uses to cite the various Muslim populations in each country can be taken as reliable, as well as the prefatory remarks before each set of percentages. There is certainly a demonstrable and observable corollary between a country’s Muslim population and the influence it begins to have or has had on its government, politics and culture.

The Islamists are coolly “working towards the Prophet and Allah” as shown in the numbers above. Meanwhile, our policymakers appear to be a succession of compliant, pragmatic, non-judgmental zeroes blindly working towards the conquest and extinction of the West. (Ed Cline) 43

The mormons, another minority religion in America have a 100+ year headstart on Muslims in America and they have only succeeded in dominating Utah.

There’s that moral relativism that equates all religions as the same. But if you closely examine Islam as compared to others - you’ll find that they incite violence from their pulpits - not ‘love thy neighbor as thyself’. I never heard of a gang of mormons rioting against cartoons. I haven’t heard of Christians in this modern day and age beheading people, or baking babies, but I’ve seen it from Al Qaeda over the last four years.

So please don’t do that thing where all religions are crazy and all religions are the same. They aren’t. There isn’t a terrorist component to Christianity, although there is a right to self-defense in there. Thank God.

The mormons are not commanded in their holy book to ‘kill the unbelievers wherever you find them’. In case you haven’t noticed, CLERICS and IMAMS - muslim holy men - are the ones who are inciting the young people to jihad. 44

And also…Christians have not been commanded by their God to dominate the world. But Islamofascists believe that Allah commands them to dominate the world, and that they will dominate the world, and that’s why they keep waging war against the infidel or unbelievers. The judeo christian idea of freedom only exists here and in Israel, which is why we are hated so much by socialists and Islamofascists. Islam is all the rage in leftist circles, just like it was in nazi circles in the 30’s. Hitler loved Islam and was ashamed of Christianity; he thought it was an extension of judaism, which he thought should be destroyed. Environmentalism was very popular then, too, as they rendered the Black Forest a nature preserve and made it ‘protected’. There are so many corrolations between then and now it’s absolutely frightening.

You’re delusional and paranoid. If you can explain exactly how Sharia law will somehow be widely implemented in America & we’ll all be subjugated though, I’m all ears. I need a good laugh. It sounds like the plot of a fantastical made-for-teevee movie, starring Fred ‘Glamour Grandpa’ Thompson, no doubt.

bwahahahah! “Delusional” because I call things as I see them? Paranoid because I won’t ignore the cries of a woman being murdered by her father with a fish boning knife in the middle of the night because she wasn’t a proper ‘muslim’? Because I object to what they’re trying to achieve - what they themselves have said they’re trying to achieve?

Calling me delusional is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black, isn’t it?! Go back to bed and don’t forget you night time story! Some people prefer to live a life of denial. Let’s hope there are enough people out there who are willing to face reality even if you aren’t.

This is going up as a post. Thanks for your proving that facts never bother leftists. It’s been very educational to go back and look at all of this and remember what it is we’re up against; mostly Americans who have no recollection of history and are stupid enough to buy into ‘change’ and ‘hope’ as a strategy when what he represents is socialism; a failed ideology which breeds sickness, poverty, etc.

I don’t understand why people resurrect it as though ‘it will be different this time’. It’s never different. Human nature is human nature, communism doesn’t work as an economic system, socialism is a bridge to communism, and the democrats are helping it all to swing in that direction and limited my choices in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The American peoples’ devastatingly huge disconnect with what’s going on, stupidity with regard to socialism, idiocy regarding terrorism and looking toward government to provide us with security while willingly turning over our weapons - all makes me sick. And that makes me-not a happy camper.

And he would gladly meet with Imadinnerjacket and other leaders of terrorist states with no preconditions.

You’re obviously not aware that the current administration has/is meeting with the Iranians at a diplomatic level without preconditions.

U.S. Envoy to Join Meeting With Iranian

WASHINGTON — President Bush has authorized the most significant American diplomatic contact with Iran since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, sending the State Department’s third-ranking official to Geneva for a meeting this weekend on Iran’s nuclear program, administration officials said Tuesday.

The decision appeared to bend, if not exactly break, the administration’s insistence that it would not negotiate with Iran over its nuclear programs unless it first suspended uranium enrichment, as demanded by three resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

In essence, Iran appears to be going in the same direction that Saddam did.

Disclaimers notwithstanding,” he added, “the precondition that Iran must suspend before the U.S. will talk about the nuclear issue will by every standard have been dropped.”

    A very dangerous move.

economic and diplomatic incentives that Germany and the Security Council’s five permanent members, Russia, China, France, Britain and the United States, presented Iran in June. Representatives from those countries will also attend the meeting.

    Well Kumbaya.

So….let me get this straight. You think I’m in agreement with the Bush administration doing this? Or…you think it’s okay for Obama to brag about wanting to do this with all of our enemies? I’m unclear on that.

    bwahahaha

Out of all of that, you cherrypick Iran.

    Nice job, LOL
