Was just reading at Michael Yon’s.
And it took me back to when I was covering Jack Idema in Afghanistan.
“The Road to Hell” in fact, is a story explaining Gulbideen Hekmatyar’s role in terrorism and killing foreigners. Yon’s guides are two guys with pakols and no up-armored humvee.
Those two guys know what the hell they’re doing; just like Jack did/does.

Yon’s work is worthy of support; drop something in his tip jar. I’m sure he could use it, as he’s independent and not working for any news outlets.
