Dan proft is mentioned here in the Suntimes, and some of it is rather funny.
For example-
Proft is a hyper-conservative, hyper-garrulous bomb thrower who revels in calling out his fellow Republicans. He has been a top adviser to the wacky, right-wing Alan Keyes, Illinois’ 2004 Republican Senate nominee, and a well-paid flack for the squeaky-clean Town of Cicero.
They haven’t left that ‘you’re a nut if you’re a conservative’ schtick; particularly when it comes to even the mere MENTION of Alan Keyes. Keyes is not only a conservative, he’s a catholic; which makes him a religious fruitcake in their eyes. It’s just another one of these marginalizing and polarizing the opposition tactics.
Proft recently unveiled a statewide school voucher plan at two African-American churches: Triedstone Full Gospel Baptist Church in Roseland and Full Gospel Christian Assemblies Church in East Hazel Crest.
Yes, isn’t it amazing. As much as they’re trying to paint conservatives as racist, conservatives really do care about the black community.
Now, Bill Brady is mentioned in that article, too, and it’s only fair to point out that he’s reaching out to the black community, also. With all their complaints about evil Walmart, if Walmart was allowed to set up shop on the South Side, it might actually provide some of those people hopelessly hemmed into the ghetto with WORK.
On Tuesday, Brady trekked to the proposed Wal-Mart site at 83rd and Stewart on Chicago’s South Side to launch his Illinois “jobs tour.” He’s pushing legislation that would end run the Chicago City Council’s opposition to a megastore that could bring 400 new jobs to Chatham. He’s also calling for tax credits for businesses that add jobs, as well as cutting other taxes and fees that he says stymie job growth.
Those are some traditional Republican moves in some untraditional places.
What they’re doing is – in a sense- playing with fire. Removing the democrats’ constituents from the welfare rolls, would be ridding them of part of their voter base. I’m certain that the democrats want black folks to remain beholden to government – and EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE – because that’s where they’ve trained their slaves to vote for them from.
All the while encouraging complaints about white people people whose policies could actually get them the hell out of there. Conservatives are unfairly painted in a corner as racists because supposedly they’re all white and there are no people of color on the conservative side. But that’s not true as already mentioned in this article, because Dan Proft had served as one of Alan Keyes’ advisors in the 2004 election. These folks are colorblind where a certain party is concerned. They portray themselves as the champions of civil rights when it was republicans who were the ones that fought for it – and it was the democrats who fought against it. It’s amazing how they’ve managed to corner the market on that argument -particularly when you look back at their racist slave owning history.
Inner city people are beginning to realize that hating whitey like ACORN has taught them- doesn’t get you anywhere. But it will get you more anger and misery. On the other hand, earning your own money gives you self respect. Getting a job will lift them out of there…. and out the communists’ hallowed shrines to Medgar Evers at Cabrini Green.
So it will be interesting to see how well what Brady and Proft are doing will be received.
There’s one thing that the article accomplishes; and that is -pushes the idea that Proft is not your run-of-the-mill candidate. Sure, we’ve been hearing that corruption is the other guy’s fault, vote for me! display in elections for many many years.
But this election season-I sure hope voters know that out of all the candidates – Proft is the only one I’ve seen with original system change ideas that can get Illinois out of where it’s been for the last 100 years or so.
It’s interesting because in a lot of ways, the others seem to be just following his lead.

I like Proft’smessage, and his in-your-face style suits me also. I am just hoping that he will be able to raise the money to adequately compete against all those truth-challenged fakes with enough personal money to buy air time to dupe voters into thinking they’re really outsiders.
We have a lot of young activist-type GOP candidates bidding for the nomination for various seats in the February primary, and I’m excited about it. Proft is just one; but as far as choices for Governor are concerned, he stands out from the rest with a clear message and is doing fresh and different things that I haven’t seen before.
The rest of them seem to be standing in an echo chamber full of Obama’s slogans.
