Also keep in mind that as an officer in the United States Army, he falls squarely under the jurisdiction of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Death by hanging is still a valid form of execution under the UCMJ. After his body is done twitching, his remaining worthless carcass should be burned so that he cannot enter paradise to receive his 72 virgins.
