Dear Senator Durbin:
Let me see if I understand all this…
If you cross the North Korean border illegally you get 12 years hard labor.
If you cross the Iranian border illegally you are detained indefinitely.
If you cross the Afganistan border illegally, you get shot.
If you cross the Saudi Arabian border illegally you will be jailed.
If you cross the Mexican border illegally you may never be heard from again.
If you cross the Venezuelan border illegally you will be branded a spy and your fate will be sealed.
If you cross the Cuban border illegally you will be thrown into a political prison.
If you cross the U.S. border illegally you get a job, a drivers license, Social Security card, monthly welfare support payments, Food Stamps, bank accounts with credit cards, subsidized rent or a loan to buy a house, free education, free health care, a lobbyist in Springfield and Washington and a voter registration card. All paid for by the Illinois taxpayer.
Mr. Durbin…do I have it straight?

Minuteman Comment: The Chicago Sanctuary City ordinance prevents all City employees from communicating with federal immigration agencies. This includes the Chicago Police Department. According to the Sanctuary City ordinance all Chicago Police Officers are prohibited from communicating with U.S. Immigration Enforcement. This applies to known criminals… to known gang members…to known drug dealers…to known child molesters. If a Police Officer stops a suspect who doesn’t speak a word of English and has no passport or any form of ID and that Officer has every reason to believe that the suspect is an illegal alien…well… that Officer is still prohibited from communicating with Immigration Enforcement. Once an illegal alien offender is adjudicated in the court system he is released back onto the street putting your life and the lives of your family at risk.
The pro-illegal lobby says that illegal immigration must be protected at all costs…the cheap labor must be protected at all costs. Wall Street profits handsomely from cheap, illegal labor. Wall Street donates its profits to the Politicians Campaign Fund in order to purchase silence/support insurance. Wall Street donates its profits to the pro-ethnic, pro-illegal alien lobby group’s “Charitable Funds” to insure that their activities and mass marches are well funded. One back scratches another and they’re all making money. Except for you.
At its core, illegal immigration is a clever and hidden transfer of wealth program. Wall Street reaps the profits from cheap labor but Wall Street does not pay the true costs of illegal immigration. The true costs are dumped on the unsuspecting middle class taxpayer. Wall Street does not pay the ever increasing property taxes that go to support the burden of ever increasing crime and social problems. Wall Street has no concern about deteriorating neighborhoods, schools or hospitals. Wealth is flowing at an ever increasing rate from the middle class to the power elite. The children of the elite are sent to schools in Switzerland where they are safe and where illegal immigration is not allowed. The rich are getting richer and the American middle class is under their boot.
But the good news is that we have discovered that Sanctuary City style ordinances violate existing Federal law. The bad news is that no one seems to care about laws any more.

Minuteman Comment: Here is a copy of the federal law prohibiting Sanctuary City style ordinances. It doesn’t take a Supreme Court Justice to understand it.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION REFORM AND IMMIGRANT RESPONSIBILITY ACT OF 1996
SEC. 642. <
(a) In General.–Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal, State, or local law, a Federal, State, or local government entity or official may not prohibit, or in any way restrict, any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual.
(b) Additional Authority of Government Entities.–Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal, State, or local law, no person or agency may prohibit, or in any way restrict, a Federal, State, or local
government entity from doing any of the following with respect to information regarding the immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual:
- Sending such information to, or requesting or receiving such information from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
- Maintaining such information.
- Exchanging such information with any other Federal, State, or local government entity.
(c) Obligation to Respond to Inquiries.–The Immigration and Naturalization Service shall respond to an inquiry by a Federal, State, or local government agency, seeking to verify or ascertain the citizenship or immigration status of any individual within the jurisdiction of the agency for any purpose authorized by law, by providing the requested verification or status information.

**** “Turbin” Durbin is one of the worst of the Senate. He claims he cares about the troops but he is an outright liar. In 2006 when Chicago troops where having their going away ceremonies just before they left for Iraq, was “Turbin” Durbin there to see them off? Nope. He was one county over at a press conference for to talk about $$ to eradicate the Ashborer Beetle.
As MY SON was about to ship out to be put in harm’s way, this Turbin loving Jerkoff was more worried about a bug than about the soldiers in his own HOMETOWN in his OWN district leaving for war. **** “Turbin” Durbin is an unforgivable, anti-American, cretin.
Wow I am very surprised at this response to that jerk…for some reason I always thought you were the calm voice of reason! I hate this guy, too, my son was in Iraq when he came out with that BS about Gitmo- comparing our soldiers to nazis and Gitmo to Soviet gulags. His health care poll – “phishing with **** Durbin” was just the most recent…I got a lot of emails calling him names on that one – the results were complete LIES.
* Rescinding of the “no-match” rule that prevents the Social Security Administration from contacting employers when a new hires name and social security number don’t match their records. “Without this protection, many employers will continue to employ individuals they know are illegal and are taking jobs that should go to citizens and legal residents,” Smith said.
* Repeal of REAL ID in lieu of PASS ID, which makes it easier for illegal aliens to obtain a driver’s license. “This makes it easier for illegal immigrants to stay in the country. And it can provide terrorists with a legitimate ID – as we saw with the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists, who between them obtained 30 driver’s licenses and ID cards,” Smith said.
* Lack of funding for an airport biometric exit system that is part of a DHS proposal to monitor when foreign visitors leave the country. “40 percent of all 12 million to 20 million illegal immigrants in the United States entered the country legally but overstayed their visas. This program will show who did not leave the country when they should have,” Smith said.
* Restricted the 287(g) program by limiting the ways local law enforcement officials can help federal immigration enforcement officials.
* No funding for border fence, which was required by the Secure Fence Act of 2006.
* Signing the CHIP bill making it easier for illegal aliens to get health care.
* Reduced work site enforcement by shifting the focus away from the illegal workers and onto the businesses that hire them.
* Allow states to provide in-state tuition to illegal aliens even though it violate federal law.
Reading the Washington Times indicates to me, that they are pro illegal immigration, that is not in the American workers interest. They have consistently reacted to any enforcement of laws. They are obviously adverse to any immigration restriction, as the majority of the national press have indicated to us. Unlike the rural media who do not condone DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano’s rush to OVERPOPULATION through another HEALTH CARE REFORM? BLANKET AMNESTY? The people of America have been blindsided to long and must become more involved. We all no by now we cannot trust our government anymore to do the right thing for all of us.
