Markos Moulitsas of the Daily Kos calls conservatives cowards

Have you heard the lastest liberal claptrap?

Radical Kossacks ringleader Markos Moulitsas published a recent diktat supporting bringing Gitmo terrorists to New York City and he includes that friendly leftist signature name-calling in the title of the article published at the Hill: Conservative Cowards 1

American liberals are tough on terrorists and secure in their knowledge that the Sept. 11 conspirators are guilty of mass murder. American conservatives are timid cowards who fear that the U.S. government can’t actually prove that the Sept. 11 killers committed their heinous crimes. Sound weird?

Maybe. But what else can be concluded after watching conservatives collectively lose their heads over President Barack Obama’s easy decision to try Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other co-conspirators in U.S. District Court in New York City? Seems that macho conservatives are terrified of shackled terrorists in orange jumpsuits and the United States Constitution.

There is so much wrong with just the first two paragraphs of that smear that it’s difficult to know where to start.

First off, pansy Markos doesn’t mention that the Obama administration is giving Khalid Sheik Mohammed exactly what he was asking for in Pakistan in 2003 when his beauty sleep was interrupted.

“Not long after he was rousted from bed and seized in a predawn raid in Pakistan in March 2003, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed gave his captors two demands: He wanted a lawyer, and he wanted to be taken to New York.”- Mark Mazzetti with The New York Times2

How very courageous of liberals to give the terrorists exactly what they want.

It wasn’t the Bush Administration that dropped the charges against the USS Cole bomber al-Nashiri, either.3 4

American liberals aren’t tough on terrorists; there is an obvious unholy alliance between them.5 6 7The court systems are so screwed up that military prosecutors went after our own guys based on the lies of known terrorists-and judges keep throwing out the Obama eligibility question,8 which most certainly is about upholding the U.S. Constitution.9

It was Ward Churchill who called the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks “little Eichmanns”. It was Tim McGirk who lied about the Marines in Haditha and spent Thanksgiving with the Taliban. Just as the Obama administration re-tooled the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to serve as a recruiting day for socialist activists instead of a day to honor the 3,000+ dead and the heroes that fought the 9/11 hijackers, you just can’t blame people with common sense who don’t have faith that liberals want to bring the 9/11 perpetrators to trial. They are rewriting the Constitution, not supporting it. It’s as if they never read it – or maybe it just appears that way because they yearn for soviet-style totalitarianism and soviet-style ’social justice’. And you just can’t blame people with common sense who think that liberals and jihadis are in bed together. It is merely a simple case of the old Arabic phrase ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

Bringing Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to New York in a classic communist-style show trial doesn’t mean they’re interested in American justice, either.

Liberal lawyers belonging to the GITMO TERROR BAR are interested in little else than bringing the previous administration up on charges for War Crimes and the Democratic Congress and various Congressional communist Caucuses have made no secret about continuing that pursuit.

Liberals want to throw out the evidence against the Gitmo detainees using legal technicalities, saying the evidence against them was collected through “coercion”. And let’s not forget their constant drumbeat regarding torture and waterboarding – nevermind that it’s a long gone practice and was only used on three murdering scumbags.10

They want to use the same social justice template in the courts that media used after Major Hasan, the Fort Hood Shooter, killed 14 people in cold blood at Fort Hood while yelling “Allah Akbar!”. Their hero shot Americans in the back as they scrambled for safety in a gun free zone. That gun free zone just happened to be a military base which proves that cultural marxism is killing us. Literally. But instead of talking about the victims’ families and the lives that were forever altered as a result of that despicable act, media and leftist bloggers felt sorry for “poor Major Hasan” -and wondered why he did it! Hasan had been trying to get in touch with Al Qaeda and told people he believes that unbelievers should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats. That’s 14 Americans dead, which including an unborn child, but the person they feel sorry for is a murderer.

I’ve never seen a conservative act like that….it’s leftists with their crying over manufactured misunderstood victims; despite the fact that they’re really monsters.

Have you ever noticed that people who are for killing babies in the womb tend to support murderers on death row and are against capital punishment?

Liberals and their associated GITMO BAR cried for Jose Padilla’s nonexistent habeas corpus rights and did everything in their power to close down Gitmo in the first place. Those poor GITMO TERROR BAR lawyers worked night and day trying to find things to help their clients complain. They commuted to Cuba in order to communicate with the terrorists they were defending for two and a half days of their grueling workweeks. They’d spend Monday in transit to Gitmo, and Friday commuting back, which only left them three pro bono days with their clients. We mustn’t inconvenience either the terrorists or their GITMO BAR supporters, nor should we give GITMO terrorists more fodder for complaints about their supposed “discomforts”! Heaven forbid!

It wasn’t the Bush Administration that bent over backwards to give a cadre of terrorists an all expenses paid vacation to Bermuda.11 That sure takes some courage and balls, Markos!

Markos neglects to mention the bipartisan trips made to Gitmo that found it was a state-of-the-art facility where the detainees were getting better treatment than prisoners in American jails. They received specially prepared gourmet halal meals that were so good that a Gitmo Cookbook was published. They had numerous accommodations made for them including 24 hour access to their Imams, prayer beads provided that could be used as weapons, access to dvds and music, 2 more hours of recreation than those in American jails get, and special signs in their cells that pointed to Mecca, prayer caps, free korans, the best medical care etc., etc.; ad nauseum.

American liberals are “secure in their knowledge that the Sept. 11 conspirators are guilty of mass murder.” Wasn’t it an American liberal in Obama’s collection of illegal Czars who was a TRUTHER who believed 9/11 was an inside job? If they were “secure that the Sept. 11 conspirators are guilty of mass murder”, then why are liberal lawyers falling all over themselves to defend the Gitmo terrorists to the extent that they’re referred to as the GITMO TERROR BAR? Why then are liberals building the largest mosque in North America in Pennsylvania dedicated to the 9/11 hijackers on top of the graves of the heroes of Flight 93?

What this is really about is continuing the war against the Bush administration as war criminals and defending the terrorists so they go free. It’s not like it hasn’t happened before. The entire reason we went to Afghanistan and Iraq was to take the fight to them on THEIR TURF rather than fight it here. Liberals are happy to bring them here; and would cheer them on if they escaped into American neighborhoods.

If they are “secure in the knowledge that the Sept. 11 conspirators are guilty of mass murder”, then why not let them be treated just exactly as the Nazis war criminals after the Nuremberg trials? Could you imagine bringing the Nazi war criminals to be tried in American civilian courts and to be given the same rights as American citizens? 12 13

Yet that’s exactly what the GITMO BAR and Obama have done with the 9/11 terrorists at Gitmo; including and especially Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11.

Seems that macho conservatives are terrified of shackled terrorists in orange jumpsuits and the United States Constitution.

Ha, ha, Markos-you neglected to mention that orange jumpsuits are the mark of noncompliant detainees who refuse to do what guards direct them to do.

Seems like the cowardly red propagandist pipsqueak Markos has neglected to heed the warnings from guards who have been attacked by Gitmo terrorists in orange jumpsuits at least 440 times. These are not innocent people in funny-colored pajamas.

One of their victims is Louis Pepe who says it’s a mistake to bring them to New York.14 He’s not a conservative coward he has personal experience and knows what he’s talking about. He was attacked by two terrorists who shoved a sharpened comb through his eyeball and into his brain several inches- in a plan to get the keys to the cell block and free other prisoners.15

Salim, a reputed top lieutenant of Osama Bin Laden, was being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, a high security federal jail in lower Manhattan. Pepe was a guard there. On November 1, 2000, Salim plunged a sharpened comb into Pepe’s left eye and three inches into his brain. Salim and a compatriot also beat Pepe savagely, in their effort to get the guard’s keys and orchestrate an escape for himself and two fellow terrorists awaiting trial. Believing Pepe was dead, the attackers used his own blood to paint a Christian cross on his torso. Pepe was an experienced correctional officer, a member of the elite MCC Enforcers Disturbance Control, and he weighed in at 300 pounds. He survived the attack with brain damage, crippling disabilities and an unending stream of surgeries.16

Only a portion of Pepe’s attack is listed there; those two attempted to rape him prison style; and he waited a whole hour before his fellow guards came to help him. There is absolutely no reason to accommodate monsters like this in US prisons or to subject neighboring communities to the possible disaster that would inevitably ensue should they succeed in escaping their confinement and run rampant on American streets. Salim Hamden was not only one of Bin Laden’s top lieutenants, he was also Bin Laden’s driver and one of Pepe’s attackers. We can all rest assured that all is right in the world of Markos’ liberal loony Kossackland-Hamden was released in Yemen in January of this year.17

In the case of Louis Pepe’s attack, the terrorists’ lawyers were complicit. They had won a court order to get them hot sauce for their food, which they instead mixed into a concoction for a weapon; a homemade modified mace to throw in the eyes of their prison guard to blind him long enough to have their way.

Tom Wilner, a lawyer who represented Kuwaiti prisoners at Guantanamo described his Terrorist client Al-Ajmi as a ‘nice guy’. Yeah, he was a nice guy who after he was freed, killed 7 Iraqis.18

To make light of all this and call the people who are facing reality “cowards” is a typical maneuver for someone like Markos. It’s much like the ‘chickenhawk’ argument they used when leftists were arguing against the war in Iraq.

I was originally going to go through his entire article, but it looks like the first few paragraphs were enough to change the channel.
