You can read the details here. Defend Michael – Michael Behenna Defense Fund

Please sign the petition for Michael and call your Congressman, and Senators, and ask them to attend the briefing scheduled on December 3rd, by Trent Frank’s office.

I’m sickened by this; but Ilario Pantano’s story, the Pendleton 8, Jack Idema’s story, and a number of other stories that I’ve talked about over the years fit this same scenario.

From Michael’s defense fund website is the story.

On March 20th, 2009, Army Ranger 1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing Ali Mansur, a known Al Qaeda operative while serving in Iraq. Mansur was known to be a member of an Al Qaeda cell operating in the lieutenant’s area of operation and was suspected to have organized an attack on Lt. Behenna’s platoon in April 2008 which killed two U.S. soldiers and injured two more. Army intelligence ordered the release of Mansur and Lt. Behenna was ordered to return the terrorist to his home.

During the return of Mansur, Lt. Behenna again questioned the Al Qaeda member for information about other members of the terrorist cell, and financial supporters. During this interrogation, Mansur attacked Lt. Behenna, who killed the terrorist in self-defense. The government subsequently prosecuted Lt. Behenna for premeditated murder.

Not only is this a miscarriage of justice on the behalf of Lt. Behenna, who was acting to prevent further loss of life in his platoon, it is demoralizing to the U.S. troops who continue to fight on behalf of the freedom and security of our nation. Whether it is U.S. border patrol agents, members of the armed forces, or FBI agents, no individual who is serving on the frontlines in the War on Terror should be so blatantly mistreated.

We urgently need your help to correct this terrible wrong against a loyal and faithful soldier. Please contact your congressman and ask them to intervene on behalf of 1LT Behenna. Below is a brief recap of the relevant aspects of Lt. Behenna’s case.

Read the blow by blow on the front page.

My pal Rick Biesada, wrote a letter to Dick Durbin about it, but I sincerely doubt someone like Dick Durbin gives a rat’s ass about anybody in our military, let alone someone who has fought a vicious terrorist who was attacking him and killed that terrorist in the process.

This boy should have received commendations instead of persecution from the government that he was serving.

This, coupled with the devastating military response to the 14 people murdered at Fort Hood by an Al Qaeda sympathizer while whooping a jihadist’s war cry – simply defies reason. 14 people dead is worth it, just as long as we don’t sacrifice “diversity”.

My ass.

We have to wonder what the real agenda is behind these things. It’s always a matter of “Follow the Power” Obama/Rahm/Axelrod are desperate to keep power.

Obama is using the suicidal Rules of Engagement and delays to exaggerate the war in Afghanistn, then troop overkill and timing to envelope 2010 elections and “win” by prearrangement before 2012 for his campaign.

So effectively, he will have murdered US soldiers for his 2012 campaign. There’s only a few thousand terrorists, if he had let soldiers fight unfettered, they’d have been done and out by now.

This is cynical evil of the highest order, this is Axelrod and Rahm developing the 2012 Obama campaign and using our soldiers lives to build THE OBAMA STRAWMAN WAR FOR CAMPAIGN 2012.

That is why he can be done within 18 months, troop overkill and the Taliban have already been bought off to go away just in the nick of time for his 2012 VICTORY.
