2 charged with beating Muslim man (Chicago Breaking News)
A Muslim man who works at a rural slaughterhouse raided last month by federal agents investigating an alleged terror plot was beaten outside a Grundy County bar Sunday morning in what may be a hate crime, authorities said today.
Scott Finch, 32, of Diamond, and Luke Harty, also 32, of Ransom, are charged with aggravated battery after they allegedly attacked Faud Nafie, 35, outside Uncle Dave’s Bar and Grill in Kinsman, Grundy County Sheriff Terry Marketti said.
After his arrest early Sunday, Finch told police he was defending himself and the country from “terrorists,” Marketti said.
Finch and Harty “punched and kicked” Nafie repeatedly “in the face and head” outside the bar after going out for a cigarette, Marketti said.
Nafie works at a goat and sheep farm and processing plant that slaughters animals according to Muslim tradition in Kinsman, a town of 110. The business was raided Oct. 18 by FBI agents investigating the plant’s owner, Tahawwur Hussain Rana.
Rana, who faces federal terrorism charges, allegedly used money he made from the plant to fund a plot targeting a Danish newspaper that published cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
Authorities in Chicago are looking into allegations that Rana and another Chicago-area man may be linked to other plots, including a terrorist assault in Mumbai last year that left more than 170 dead.
Plant workers, including Nafie, have not been accused of any wrongdoing.
This is about the most complete article I’ve seen on the matter, but it still follows that victimhood template, depicting Nafie as an ‘innocent muslim’. Okay, so what? they say, he was working in a slaughterhouse belonging to a man charged with terrorism and living on the land he owns. That doesn’t mean he is involved in terrorism. Move along!
These two men were apparently at a bar near the meat packing plant and beat up one of the bar’s patrons. Prosecutors were originally going after them for a ‘hate crime’, but decided to prosecute them for aggravated battery, which carries a heavier penalty.
Grundy County State’s Attorney Sheldon Sobol said a hate crime is a class 4 felony which carries a sentence of 1-3 yars versus aggravated battery which is a class 3 felony and carries a sentence of 2-5 years.
Somebody wants to slam these guys as hard as possible for what they did and their views on terrorism; sending a warning to the community to just keep moving along.

They didn’t beat him up just because he was black. The reason they attacked him is because that meat processing facility isn’t just any old butcher shop; it’s a halal meat processing plant that is producing halal meat for muslims in Illnois–one of the steps that occurs in a culture where muslims are expanding their numbers at an exponential rate….but that’s not all.
Finch said he was defending his country from terrorists and sand-ni****s. The narrative of victimhood that’s been put into print about this makes these two men seem like a couple of loony rednecks, but I don’t think they are.
Nafie, 35, lives in a trailer at First World Management meat packing plant owned by Tahawwur Hussain Rana of Chicago. There is a trailer and a house on the plant property, Marketti said, and therefore Nafie is allowed to live on the property.
The FBI raided the Kinsman plant on Oct. 18, and later arrested Rana at his home in Chicago on federal terrorism charges.
That’s about all that’s mentioned about what really fueled the attack on Nafie; some articles don’t even mention it at all. The motivation here is locals who know full well about the cancer in their midst.

The social justice narrative is running strong in news reports on this one, so let’s take a closer look at Headsay and Rana, the two men who are being investigated on federal terrorism charges for a moment, since most of the articles are just beating on that tired old drum.
David Coleman Headley aka Daood Gilani, 48; and Canadian Tahawwur Hussain Rana, 48, two Pakistan-born men living in the Chicagoland area- are charged with plotting terrorist attacks against overseas targets, including Denmark’s Jylland Posten, the Danish newspaper that published the Mohammed cartoons. In a court hearing at the end of October, prosecutors produced Al Qaeda videos that had been found in a raid on Rana’s home on October 18, 2009.
Of course nobody mentions THAT in any of their news reports.
Headley was arrested on his first leg of a trip to Pakistan on October 3, 2009, at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Feds arrested Rana and raided his immigration business’s Chicago offices and the halal butcher he owned in Kinsman, Illinois, two weeks afterward.
Rana made his bail application in front of Judge Nan R. Nolan, and it was then that prosecutors informed the court about the discovery in October of the Al Qaeda videos.
You’d think that part of this story would have received a little more attention, but now-Klavan’s video here makes a lot more sense.
