It’s nice to see Anne, Fran, John, David, Tom, WTH and a number of others in this list. I am in good company.
I have 7,284 published posts, a total of 27,355 published comments. Statistically speaking, comments that have been moderated total less than 1%. This indicates to me that – despite the ever-so-tolerant liberal commentors who issue death threats regularly- and tell me I should lay down under the exhaust pipe of my running car- (the last one that wasn’t published said exactly that) – this is a relatively reliable free speech zone.
Actually, considering what happened in the last day or so, that commenter could have been Dan Proft. But seriously-this year, I will finally hit the 1 million individual visitors mark according to my sitemeter statistics, but according to the statcounter, that landmark number was already surpassed some time ago.
Kudos to all who made the top blogs list, kudos to all who didn’t make the list who continue to blog regularly; it is a difficult thing to balance along with life’s demands.

I took a screenshot of this the other day for my own edification. You can see that the page views far outweight the individual visits – which Cass had told me some time ago – people appreciate me for who I am, what I write about, even if it’s quoting from other sources and making commentaries
..and that’s why they stay and read.
