The MaryHunter has been writing at TWA for a while now, and I guess we finally got him hooked because he unveiled his blog today, introducing it at TWA.
Congratulations to The Mary Hunter! And who’s got bacon?
baconbaconbaconbaconbacon!
Oh…one more thing. He has credited us with…well let me tell you himself.
I blame my introduction to the blogosphere on the lovely wife of my good friend Van Helsing. Her intriguing email in January 2005 about her husband’s new blog, Moonbattery, led me to learn that bloggers indeed were real, not just a pajama-clad conspiracy invented by the MSM to blame for the uncovering of Rathergate. From Moonbattery I learned of more outstanding conservative thinkers/writers: Raven at And Rightly So!, Superhawk (now Rick Moran) of Rightwing Nuthouse, Cao at Cao’s Blog, and eventually the whole brilliant, witty crew at The Wide Awakes.
Nothing in my life has been the same since.
The formative event bringing about the birth of this blog was the support and encouragement from my friends at The Wide Awakes. They invited me into their group on 25 March 2005. I began occasional writing for TWA on 1 April 2005, during the tragic final weeks of Terri Schiavo’s life. The suffering and death of this precious woman fueled the ongoing effort among the right-minded in America to take back this nation from the reckless activist judicial system and the arrogant liberal elite. (In fact, the blogosphere still rallies for Terri and the right-to-life, stop-activist-judiciary cause she symbolizes. Read more on this recent TWA post.) One thing led to another and — following a virtual gun to the temple — I decided to infuse the blogosphere with my thoughts and opinions on a more regular basis, plus provide an outlet for a few colleagues of mine to also fight for The Cause, plus to have some fun along the way.
Go read the whole thing; including the intriguing reason he chose the title TMH’s Bacon Bits.

Thanks SO much, O Blogmother Cao! For the links and, well, for everything!
…So, can I take those itchy electrodes out of my temporal lobes yet? (you promised, said “if I got my own blog…”)
