Profmarcus, you indeed lead a sheltered life. It is extremely fortunate for you that there are those who are not as weak-kneed as you to protect your right to free speech. Were it left to people like you, there would be zero free speech in this country. Yes, in your world, slapping someone is torture. But your world is very, very small.

And Sailor, that sounds pretty good to me!

I read about a third of the post and I'm thinking, "man that reminds me of basic, at Ft.Jackson". They called us names that were really mean, said nasty things about my mom, made us crawl in the dirt and all kinds of cruel and unusual things, we even had to take gang showers!

One time me and another recruit weren't washing the huge pots in the mess kitchen fast enough..They down right tortured us.. We had to clean the grease pit!!! Guess what, that was 1966, I'm here to tell you about it..

I have to believe the detainees at Gitmo are wimps and crybabies..

We used to say "if you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch".

I think we should open-up a basic training camp for the lefties..if you don't make it through camp, you have to shut-up about Bush and the war on terror and quit trolling right wing blogs, cause you're not man enough!

I am pleased and honored, sir, and would be happy to cook the noodles to which you refer, And thanks for stopping by, Sailor, I can always use the support. Fisking moonbats in comments gets tiring, although I enjoy it immensely.

It's unfortunate that these elitists are so soft and have such weak stomachs that they consider playing Christina Aguilara music torture.

Those logs are a joke.

Stalin said: Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas?

So I guess it's no surprise where Marcus in Australia is coming from. No other point of view should get through, should it? And because that's all he sees, it validates his hatred of America, I guess. tssk tssk. How the following compares with cutting of hands, feet, fingers, ripping out teeth, is beyond me.

The Time article, citing the log, said techniques used against Kahtani included inflicting a "sissy slap" with an inflated latex glove, forcing him to "bark to elevate his social status up to that of a dog" and urinate in his pants, and rejecting his request to pray.

Interrogators also played Christina Aguilera music to keep him from dozing off, Time said.

Wow. Isn't that just tough? That could be college hazing, or kids on a school bus. That sounds just like what Kieran talked about in his boot camp training.

As a 1972 graduate of BUD/S, Mr. Lalor's expriences at Parris Island would have been a cakewalk compared to 26 weeks of BUD/S. Nothing personal there, Marine!

As for you, profmarcus, I did read this log and quite frankly there is nothing there that many of us that served in the military did not experience as part of E&E training. I saw nothing that led to any physical injury or any actual methods of torture. Now you may be too weak kneed to survive this bit of humiliation and discomfort, but just because you are, does not make this torture in any sense of the word. Though had they played some of the rap music I have heard of late or hung pictures of a semi-nude Janet Reno around their necks, that may have been a bit much. Perhaps these terrorsits you are so concerned about, should have thought twice before waging war against the US.

Cao, I am quite flattered to be a fellow contributor with you over at Patriots for Bush. I have admired your blog for some time now and have been re-miss in adding you to my blogroll. I have correct this error and I will accept 50 lashes with a wet noodle as punishment.
