PESHAWAR: The Afghan Taliban on Thursday demanded the release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani scientist who has been convicted by the US court on charges of her alleged attempt to murder US soldiers in Afghanistan, and threatened to execute an American soldier they were holding currently. They claimed Aafia Siddiqui’s family had approached the Taliban network through a Jirga of notables, seeking their assistance to put pressure on the US to provide her justice.

Think about the fallout of the Mohammad cartoons — the riots, the deaths threats, the acts of terror — and that is the scale of the outrage in the Muslim world over Siddiqui’s conviction.
Muslims around the world are convinced that the US routinely kidnaps Muslim women, holds them, tortures them, and worse. Yeah, stupid and yet this is what they believe. Siddqui’s conviction is “proof” of this to them.
Yet, isn’t this screaming irony even while her family claims that she is innocent and is in no way an Islamist extremist (overlooking both their own ties to al Qaeda’s longtime allies in the L-e-T, her marriage to Khalid Shiekh Mohammad’s nephew, and KSM’s admission that she is an al Qaeda agent) that they have turned to the Taliban for help?
Of course, lost in all of this is the heartache, the helplessness, and the emotional torture of the Americans at home- PFC Bergdahl’s family and all those who love him-; as they await some kind of news about his fate at the hands of these idiots…but to be sure, the odds of his still being alive are slim to none.

Anyway for every opinion there are two views and on this one I think you’ll find yourself with the minority no sane person could believe this bullshit cooked up story.
As far as Islamists are concerned, there is Takiyya or Kitman and the truth. Yes, two versions; but only one truth. You can depict her as a victim all you want…it’s the same Islamist ridiculousness as the response to the Mohammed cartoons.
Islam is not very kind to women overall, and even recruits young mothers to be suicide bombers as they have done in the Gaza strip.
Hell, their cowardly men HIDE BEHIND women and children-and use them as human shields; that’s how much they think of themselves…and what they think of their women and children!

It’s hard to wrap my mind around…but then again, you can see it with the honor killings – like the recent one in Turkey where a 16-year-old was buried alive for merely TALKING to someone of the opposite ***. So it produces nuts like Aafia Siddiqui. who not only married to the nephew of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, but who turned to the Taliban for help! LOL…that’s not ‘Rambo’ – that’s merely believing that the Koran guarantees paradise in the afterlife if she dies taking out infidels…..the very reason suicide bombers kill themselves and others.
