Prayers go to the people who have died and were injured in this despicable attack.
Breaking news…will be looking at this later, but-
July 7 (Bloomberg) — London closed its public transport system and evacuated subway stations after six explosions in the financial district and center of the capital caused casualties and at least eight deaths.
Five explosive devices were found on the subway network, an unidentified firefighter said. Blasts occurred at financial district Underground stations including Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Aldgate East. Police said explosions were also reported at Kings Cross and Edgware Road stations in central London. A bus exploded near Russell Square, killed at least eight, a firefighter said. Scotland Yard wouldn’t comment on the possible causes.
“Health services are in support to deal with the terrible injuries that there have been,” Home Secretary Charles Clarke told reporters in London. “I want to express sympathy on behalf of the whole government to the families and friends of those who have been injured,” Clarke said.
Liverpool Street, Aldgate, Edgware Road and King’s Cross are among stations evacuated. Prime Minister Tony Blair, in Gleneagles, Scotland, for the Group of Eight summit that starts today, is being informed of the situation, a spokesman at his office said. Bus services across London were suspended. UBS AG evacuated one of its buildings near Liverpool Street. About 320,000 people commute to the financial area to work each day.
Don’t have time to assess this today-or scope out the news reports-send me info if you have it and I’ll get to it later.
The Northeast Intelligence Network sent out a great little blurb on this attack–the message that was sent out was also published on the front of their website:
There were harbingers of this attack on the jihadi boards in recent days. As readers of the HQ INTEL ALERT will recall from our special alert last week, the new Iranian president had promised as part of his campaign to bring the bloodshed of Iraq to western cities.
Based on celebratory postings on the Arabic language message boards frequented by Al Qaeda and its supporters, a high level of caution is urged for the US and other coalition partners, especially Australia.
Reportedly at least 30 are dead.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch…Al Qaeda announced the killing of the Egyptian envoy in a video but interestingly, the video showed him bound and blindfolded–but did not show his death.
The lying scumbags said:
“We announce in the name of al-Qaida in Iraq that the verdict of God against the ambassador of the infidels, the ambassador of Egypt, has been carried out. Thank God,” a written statement in the Web posting said.
Would that be the All-Iraqi Suicide Brigades, lol? You know, the organization they made up real fast after Bush said there are foreign fighters in Iraq?
They’re running out of Iraqis, so they have to import the crazy people who will blow themselves for Islam. Seems to me they’re going to run out of nuts. There are just so many in the world–and the little ones like this aren’t old enough to do a serious enough job. They should watch out, they’re going to run out of crazy people.

That’s how they love their children. They hate the infidel so much that they raise their children to kill themselves. Weird culture, but it’s reality. Need I remind anybody what we’re facing are grownup versions of this who growup on terrorist tv? I’m serious. Take a look at this expose on jihad for kids. They seriously have a program like Mickey Mouse–only they’re singing how the infidel are the descendants of pigs and monkeys, and how they want to use their bodies to kill the zionists.
You think you’re going to be able to change somebody’s mind who grew up on “killing the infidel” by singing give peace a chance? Doesn’t change the fact that you’re still the infidel and must die, according to the Qu’ran.

Sad news. London is in our prayers.

I want to hear Bush talk some more about this religion of peace thing…
I’ve been working nights and woke up to this at 3pm. What’s to say? Thankyou for your thoughts and prayers, Cao. It’s good to know our allies across the pond are thinking of us at this time.
I only hope that, finally, more British people will wake up to the Islamofascist menace in our country.
It upsets me to hear Bush framing our reaction this like Kerry did during the election by talking about “briging people to justice” what kind of pansy **** is that?
Bush should be talking about bringing the second coming or death and destruction to these ******** and their families.
Count me disappointed by my president today.
Put yourself in the place of the bombers, or at the young Muslims authority would have us believe were the bombers. The say goodbye for the final time, backpacks in place. What would they do, what would they say? Hug each other, shake hands. Shed a few tears. Say goodbye. Say we are doing a wonderful thing, holding the world up by its ears to make it listen. We are changing history, striking a blow for our religion. After today British people know their government can’t protect them. We will meet again in paradise. So all in all a tearful final farewell. But what the tape showed was four good mates going their separate ways with a plan to meet up for lunch, or dinner as they would undoubtedly say in Leeds. Anyone besides me starting to small a rat? Leeds patsy anyone? If Tony Blair said it was raining I’d lean out of the window.
They were celebrating, smiling, etc.. They were not tearful. The point is they were “duped” into this mission…as several others have surmised. These guys were not behaving as though they were on a suicide mission. There are films of what terrorists look like before they go through with a mission like that, they’re into documenting this stuff and putting it up on the internet. These guys didn’t fit the profile of people who were knowingly and purposefully on a suicide mission.
And no, that’s as far as I’m going…YOU put yourself in their place.
1) At least three of the four bombers died with their ID cards with them, leading police directly back to their homes. (would they have clung to their id cards had they known they were about to die?)
2) The bombs went off simultaneously, strongly suggesting they were set off by either timers or remote control.
3) The bombs were unusually small and light, reportedly only ten pounds. They were carried in backpacks, not vests.
4) There were no boasting videos left behind, no suicide notes.
5) From what I have seen in the press, the bombers did not seem to fit the profile of suicide bombers we’ve seen in Israel – people with a personal score to settle, people with obvious jihadist ambitions, or people who have shamed their families and who are looking for redemption. Furthermore, bombers are typically nervous and quiet when approaching their targets; these guys “were captured on CCTV at 8.20am walking through a subway at King’s Cross. One security source said last night: ‘They looked like they were going for a hike. They were chatting to each other and smiling.’”
