Run, Cindy, Run!

Calling Bush a terrorist, Jew bashing, and calling for a pullout in Iraq–we haven’t heard any of this for at least…a few seconds. But like it or not, lefties, Sheehan is this week’s side-show freak festival filling the Michael Jackson trial void. Throw in a scream, and she’s Howard Dean:

“We’re going to Crawford, we’re going to Washington, Camp David, Martha’s Vineyard, until Bush speaks with me, yeeeaaaarrrgggghhh!!!!!”

Actually, that’s not far from the truth, considering–Joe Trippi, who orchestrated Howard Dean’s early victories in the 2004 primaries, and Fenton Communications, a Washington public-relations firm that champions left-wing causes, are among her “advisers”. Fenton Communications provided guidance for the National Religious Partnership for the Environment in the mid 1990s. They took a flawed, EPA-rejected study produced by the Natural Resources Defense Council and orchestrated the infamous 1989 CBS “60-Minutes” “exposé” of Alar, which nearly killed the apple industry.

Sheehan continues to say when a microphone is shoved in her face or held in her hand that she’ll “protest” until Bush meets with her (again) so he can explain why he murdered her son. Unfortunately (even with all the additional help), she blew her own cover on Hardball, when she said she did not “really” want to meet with Bush because that would diffuse the momentum of her protest and the anti-war movement. But at least she doesn’t have other motives. This is about one thing: It’s about being an anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-American, anti-Jew protestor. She thought she would be invincible because her son died in Iraq. She’s wrong.

On his nationally broadcast radio show, host Rush Limbaugh ripped left-wing activists who are supporting Sheehan, stating:

It’s gotten to the point now where it is common to go on Democrat websites and read about the pleasure it would bring if the president were assassinated. It is now common to read letters to the editors in newspapers which say it would be fun if [Osama] bin Laden actually came over here and slit Bush’s throat, which is what a supporter of Sheehan wrote to a letter of the editor in one of the newspapers in this country. … Do you have any idea how you people are perceived? Do you have the slightest idea how the decent people who make this country work perceive you? It is not with any respect. It is with contempt and it’s with sorrow. But it’s also with this realization: This country, if it is to survive, cannot be turned over to you people to lead and to run, because we will cease to exist as the United States the day that happens, and mark my word. It ain’t going to happen.

You’d think her professional handlers would have a clue about this. Perhaps that explains the Run Cindy, Run! chain of events:

Move America Forward announced the “You Don’t Speak For Me, Cindy Tour” which is a caravan that will be travelling across the country starting Monday, picking up Americans who support the WOT and the President on the way, to protest against what Cindy’s doing, and show that there are many Americans who support the War in Iraq and reject Cindy’s extremist approach.

Suddenly, POOF! Cindy disappears, claiming her mother is sick (had a stroke).

?

Now there are only dozens instead of hundreds of anti-war people at the Crawford camp.

?

Does anyone see a display of cowardice? Why don’t they just stand their ground?

Cindy says the anti-war protest will continue in her absence. Without Cindy, it looks to me like the “party’s over”.

I hope she has the cojones to come back and face the music that’s on the way to greet her–because Move America Forward is going ahead with their campaign.

Surely Howard Dean’s people and Fenton Communications (and who knows who else)–all of these media-savvy organizations will be able to salvage what they started in the face of the big elephant that’s chasing them, right?

Or do you think they realize that once the American people hear the whole story Cindy will be abandoned by the American people who will finally see what she’s doing for what it is?

Do you suppose only bloggers will be covering the pro-American tour that’s descending on Crawford?

How much you want to bet there will be absolute silence from the media?

Stay tuned…

    “Americans Not Worth Dying For”

If America is not worth dying for, then your families and loved ones, your best friends, co-workers, the people you attend church with are not worth dying for.

Probably according to many Democrats, people who do attend church are not worth dying for. Or at least the ones who go to church and try their hardest to live their live according to the Bible. But those Dems who go to church and bend the rules to fit the way they want – that’s okay, they’re good people. A little difficult to understand.
