Never Forget

Tribute to 9/11.

Tribute in Light.

My husband and I were both working that day, I remember hearing about this from someone who was watching the news in the break room. All day long we were following this news…watching the videos, and amazingly, there weren’t any broadcasts of people jumping out of the buildings. I think it’s important that we get a hold of some of that footage; since leftists don’t seem to care about parading around dead people for their political gain. What’s the matter, do you suppose watching people jump out of the towers to their deaths would make people made at Islamic terrorists?

My coworker grew up in New Jersey and had family in the towers. She was anxious and upset, trying to get a hold of relatives to find out what happened. Her brother in law was killed that day.

It’s hard to get these images out of my mind.

A Media Player is required.

The clip below is the first plane hitting the WTC before the second one hit. There are all kinds of videos of the second plane hitting the WTC, with all the leftist conspiracy theories flying around that the US attacked itself and other goofy thoughts, I thought it would be appropriate to put this up today.

New York City firefighters witness the first plane hit the World Trade Center (Sept. 11, 2001)

A Media Player is required.

See Josh’s collection of photographs from 9/11 here. The most heartrending are the ones of people jumping from the buildings. Since you can never tell about images on the internet that implicate terrorist scumbags–they mysteriously and conspicuously disappear and/or are hard to find–I’ve posted a few of them here.

The magnitude of this is difficult to comprehend. The fact that leftists are trying to bury this under their despicable conspiracy theories is horrible. We should remember all those who’ve died at the hands of Islamic terrorists for the last 40+ years.

In December 2001 U.S. forces in Afghanistan captured a videotape during a raid on a house in Jalalabad, in which he discusses the September 11 attacks with a group of followers. According to the official U.S. translation of this tape, bin Laden said:

We calculated in advance the number of casualties from the enemy, who would be killed based on the position of the tower. We calculated that the floors that would be hit would be three or four floors. I was the most optimistic of them all. (…Inaudible…) Due to my experience in this field, I was thinking that the fire from the gas in the plane would melt the iron structure of the building and collapse the area where the plane hit and all the floors above it only. This is all that we had hoped for. (full text of the tape transcript)

Several other videotapes have surfaced in the media (11.11.01 Sunday Times / Al-Jazeera 26.12.02 / 04.02 Al-Jazeera/AP / Sunday Times 19.05.02 / 09.02 Al-Jazeera etc). The video found in Jalalabad in December 2001 is still the most often cited as evidence for bin Laden’s participation in the September 11th attacks.

In a closed door session in October 2001, the U.S. presented evidence to NATO of bin Laden’s involvement in the September 11 attacks. NATO’s general secretary George Robertson described the evidence as clear and decisive and led the organization to invoke, for the first time in its history, article 5 in the NATO pact. Article 5 states that any attack on a member state is considered an attack against the entire alliance. [1] The evidence presented to NATO was never presented to the public for security reasons.

Iraq/9-11 Connections are proven here and in this 1999 ABC tape. See also The Big Lie Campaign and Cindy, the War in Iraq, and Dissent in a Time of War

It is all one picture. And it’s all connected.

God Bless the victims’ families and I hope the victims are resting in peace, knowing we didn’t let them die and do nothing.

If you think Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, please explain why FDR invaded North Africa after Pearl Harbor.

In both cases, the answer is the same: It was a militarily smart move. It is going after the root cause of the problem.

Great post. Those pictures of people jumping really does say it all. I would say they should be shown over and over except that it might just mean that we’d get used to them and forget what horror they represent.

    Always Remember September 11th 2001

This is the war of the ages. It has been fought for over a thousand years. Ours is but a chapter in the great struggle to keep militant Islam at bay. It is the same war the crusaders fought, and it is the same war we must fight now. Our freedom, ever…

As if I weren’t already STILL pissed off enough at those ********, I see those pictures you have of people jumping to their deaths and I get even MORE pissed off. Just when I thought it was STILL as pissed as possible, too. I assure you, I will NEVER forget, OR forgive those who brought war to our women and children, and innocent civilians.

  14. Mr. Snitch!

Someone noted elsewhere that Daily Kos hasn’t even mentioned what day this is. Figures, right?

We’ve put our own 5 minute video memorial online. No burning buildings, no rubble, no explosions, no speeches, no screeches, no Bin Laden, no bodies. Just a remembrance of some people whose lives were cut short through no fault of their own, with poignant candid snapshots from their lives, with musical background.

Thanks for reminding the ignorant ones of the dark moments of 9/11.

I just read the anti-Bush blogs for the fun of it. They are like political comic strips.Very very funny.
Even Michael Moore sends me his stuff, and I publish them. But, the Liberals are entitled to their hysterics. They are so pathetic.

9/11: My Remberance by Todd D. Miller

The day we know as 9/11 started as just another pleasant fall day in Chicago where I was living at the time. My wife and I had been blessed by the arrival of our son in February and life was generally very good.

  24. William Teach

    Great post, Cao!

Mr. Snitch, in regards to Kos, I took a dirty little perusal of the Left-o-sphere, and, if they even bothered to mention 9/11, which most didn’t, it was all nasty, the conspiracy theories, where’s Osama, etc. Nothing that shows that they understand what happened this day. No rememberence, no caring, no patriotism.

  25. William Teach

Kos finally has one up, which somehow ends up as an Iraq war rant.

  26. ticklebug

William, keep in mind, NY is a blue state (anti-Iraqi War and all) and we all know that thousands are still grieving as we speak. I would assume that they understand what happened on that day more than anyone else.

  27. Frank

We will never forget all those that died for us to have freedom. From the time of the American Revolution through Gulf War II we thank everyone that served, and the famiies of those that died, for protecting us.

The seeds of terrorism must be stopped before they flower into the foul bloom of hate, bombings, and death.

Never stop looking and never stop fighting.
