Each day the men and women of our Armed Forces serving in Iraq and Afghanistan endure grueling conditions – extreme heat and constant enemy fire. They’ve seen their friends wounded and killed in action.
And now, these fine men and women who are serving their country face constant criticism and ridicule from their own fellow Americans.
When you learn that the anti-military Left was planning the largest anti-war protests to date, there was a choice – do nothing or stand up to the anti-war lobby and tell them that we will never allow them to create a Vietnam-culture in this country again.
The thought might cross your mind to just “ignore” these folks – but, at the end of the day is there any doubt that when the anti-war protests in Washington, D.C. begin on September 24th that the old line liberal news media won’t give them wall-to-wall coverage?
Of course the media will! And those news reports will get back to our troops serving overseas.
So, you see, even though the Move America folks are still recuperating from their cross-country trek to Crawford, Texas (as part of the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy” tour) they had little choice but to mobilize a patriotic, pro-American counter to the anti-war protests that will soon start.
Beginning tomorrow they will share with you their itinerary for the trip – and the stops they will be making across the nation. I hope you and your family & friends will be able to turn out to greet them and cheer their nationwide bus tour on.
In the meantime, they still have about $40,000 to raise by this weekend to pay for the trip. We’d very much appreciate any financial assistance you can provide to help us pay for the costs we will incur.

This is a noble cause that deserves your support. I am pleased to see the numbers of money they need to raise dwindling.

Is it possible to publicly criticize a military action undertaken by a president without it considered a criticism of the soldiers and sailors themselves? If so, how would you argue against the Iraq War so that it wasn’t a criticism of the fighting men and women?
I agree. This is truly a worthy cause. I’ll be sending some cash their way. Thanks
Mark, you can’t argue against the war and be for the troops….you can be against the President, but speaking bad of the war and our troops mission gets back to them and our enemies, and lessens morale on our side while emboldening those against us.
Saddam said we would cave quickly, believing that the American public doesn’t have the stomach to see our brave troops come home in caskets and claiming we don’t have the heart for staying the course anymore.
Osama believes us weak and cowardly.
If Saddam and Osama were to base their beliefs solely on the stance of the american left, then they would be correct.
Luckily, the American Right see the course, knows it will be a long, hard fight but also understand that to surrender now means our deaths later under a worldwide islamic caliphate.
Basing your decisions on emotions and a simplistic belief that we can make peace with radical islam is not only wrongheaded but cowardly.
The american left does NOT have the stomach to defend themselves, our country or Freedom.
Luckily the rest of us do posses the necessary qualities to not only fight for the left’s right to be wrong, but we possess the will to win.
Any other questions?
The president, the war and the troops are intertwined in their chosen mission and their desire to succeed. At this point it is impossible to separate them from each other.
Consider this, the WoT has gone on for almost four years now. The return to Iraq a little less time than that.
Given the normal enlistment is at least four years, those in the military either have joined up since the WoT or the return to Iraq, have re-enlisted in that time, and this same group who is fighting, bleeding and rebuilding in Iraq voted over-whelmingly in favor of the president during the last election – it is safe to surmise the three parts are one and same.
And therefore, they are to be treated as such. One team joined by a common goal in favor of common method.
To use a poor sports analogy, if the team supports the coach, the front office supports the coach, the city in which the team plays supports the coach – does not criticizing the coach then equate to criticizing the team, the front office, and the city?
In this case, their may be complaints about the plays being called in, but given the record of wins versus losses, we should remain concentrated on the season as whole and not worry about what should have been done during the last game.
sorry about the typos:
“In this case, there may be complaints about the plays being called in,…”
Look…you said you listened to it, but when you continued to ask the same questions, it seemed as though you hadn’t. And now you admit it. So now it’s clear you lied.
Why should I continue to carry on a conversation with someone who’s not honest and lies–and who’s not willing to put any effort forward? Why should I do all the work?
Your almost argumentative position has me heading off arguments that are very familiar and that’s why I’ve answered them in advance.
Now I know how important the answers to your questions are–’archived’–’out of sight out of mind’.
Actually, I have people commenting on archived posts all the time because they google up the subject matter. So that’s kind of a ridiculous point. You can keep track of the recent comments in the sidebar that says “your words”. People are looking up articles in my archives constantly, so that reasoning doesn’t make sense; it sounds like an excuse.
Those clips aren’t that long–there about 20 minutes a piece, so there’s another excuse. We all find time for what’s important to us. 20 minutes is short…easy….about the time it would take for you to take a walk around the block. Or a shower. Or a phone conversation. Less than the time it takes to watch a television program. This conversation has been going on for more than 2 days. What is 20 minutes once a day for 3 days going to cost you? Absolutely nothing. But you’re not even willing to do that.
And getting the answers to your questions is also relative. Rather than write down what Michael Graham said–as you suggest–for me to transcribe it–would take too much of MY VALUABLE TIME. You haven’t proven to me that you’re worth that.
I challenged you to take the initiative to find the answers you seek.
You failed the challenge.
Next.
Also…our men and women fighting don’t care about the reasons they were sent there. They are there now and it means the world to them to know they have support from the people back home and it makes them sick to hear people talking about ‘support the troops’ but ‘don’t support the president’.
Intent doesn’t matter. It’s the final result that counts.
If you ‘care’…and you talk about ‘not supporting the president’ -which means you don’t support the ‘WOT’–which means you don’t support our men and women in Uniform…how are you any different than the people who say ‘we support our troops when they shoot their officers’?
Yes! Yes! Right on brother!
